    AC - 2/7 to 2/9

Having finally made CET diamond at the end of last year, I wanted to get at least 1 trip to CET casinos in hopes of having a better standing when I take my daughter to LV in June for her 21st birthday. I had some good offers for Feb & since it's my birthday month, decided to go this weekend.

Flight out of Latrobe, PA was on time. No weather issues. Stayed at Bally's as usual because I like the variety of machines in their smoking section. I had been talking to another forum member (susangovols) who would be there from 2/6 - 2/8 to try to meet up but I got so caught up in moving around from casino to casino that we never made contact (sorry Susan, would have been nice to meet you).

I am comped through CET, but usually play a bit over at Trump Plaza because they have a 100 Lions machine in smoking that I have had some success with in the past. A few hours after arriving, i hit this!

I had a pretty good BR for the weekend and hubby "encouraged" me to put this in my Winner's Bank when I texted him the picture, lol. Being the dutiful wife, I did......probably a good thing as I only left with this and a few hundred by the end of the weekend.

I always stay at Bally's and they are in the final stages of remodeling their casino floor. It didn't affect me on my last trip in Nov. since the smoking section wasn't being worked on. This trip was a different story. They had the entire smoking section closed & basically took the non section and divided it into smoking & non. Very limited selection of slots.

I played a lot of machines I usually don't play and only had any real success on a Konami Mayan Chief (thanks for the suggestions in my other thread!). Didn't take any pictures but I put a TITO for a few hundred in a Mayan Chief at Bally's. Betting $1.50, i hit for a boatload of spins. Can't remember the number but it was in the 200's. Also hit retriggers 4 or 5 times for decent extra spins. (I am terrible at remembering anything)! I won about $700 because I cashed the TITO out a bit after the bonus when I was at $1000! I do remember checking the cashout/versus spins a few times. When I checked it when I triggered the bonus, it was over $1100. I almost fell off the chair! Took the spins and checked it again after a good while, it was down in the $600's & after a few retriggers it was back up to over $1000. Pretty happy with the $700. Threw another $100 in it later in the weekend but lightning didn't strike twice. I tried a few Country Girl machines they have at Bally's after seeing a video of casinomannj. Because it was similar to Bier Haus, I sooo wanted to like it, but after dropping $300 in them over the weekend I doubt I'll try it again. Couldn't hit anything on .80 & tried $100 at $1.20 & the payouts were horrible! Adding insult to injury was having to listen to the music play in the background.....ugh. No offense to country music fans out there but I wasn't a fan of the song it plays, lol. Probably the worst ego crusher was that I lost a lot of money at Bally's and because my slot area was so limited it seemed like everytime I got off a machine & moved it would hit for the next person. No matter where I moved to, it always seemed to be close enough to the one I just left that I could see/hear the hit. No matter HOW much I would tell myself...."Don't even look up at that machine, you don't want to know what they hit", human nature always won out. RNG aside, it's like a kick in the butt when you are losing & it happens like 6 or 7 machines in a row, lol!

Flight home was delayed 1 1/2 hrs. Snow on Sun. evening and initially we were told there would be a delay waiting our turn to de-ice. Finally pushed away from the gate for de-icing only to then slowly pull back in & were told there was now an issue with the de-icing truck! Overall, I had a great time as usual just getting away by myself & eating, sleeping, & gambling when I wanted to. Didn't take any other pictures but I'll be sure to take lots in Vegas in June for a TR. It will be a different kind of trip with less gambling & more attention to making sure daughter has a great time for her birthday trip. Thanks for reading

Looks and sounds like you had some good hits. I know what you mean about being a downer when someone hits on your machine and you are still close enough to see/hear it.

I like playing at Bally's too because of the selection of machines - bummer they were closed off because of renovation.

But - you had a good time and a nice getaway. Good luck on your LV trip with daughter.

Again nice wins. I'm with you being annoyed by country music and confused how anyone likes the Country Girl slot with just too much disappointment for me.

Interesting about Bally's being remodeled and wondering what it will look like when done. Was the Wild Wild West part still open? I'm looking forward to seeing those old machines in there again.
    That's all folks!

Thanks sassycat! I'm telling you, I always try to move far away from a machine after I get off it but it was impossible this weekend! It's like I had a black cloud over me moving from machine to machine, lol. Other than the Mayan Chief win & a few other minor wins, I think all I did was "pump the well" for the next person! Oh well, at least someone was winning

Yeah, I hear ya ONM. That Country Girl was NOT my friend! Hated the hidden reveals and when I did get what I thought might be a good hit, the payoff was terrible for the bet amount. Although I did enjoy the hidden reveals in Mayan Chief (probably because they were working in my favor, lol).

I am disappointed in Bally's casino "renovation". Other than new carpet (which kept getting fuzzies on my black suede boots) and a new layout of machines, I don't think they did much else. The WWW is still closed off to the right of the escalator if you are descending from the Bally's section. Don't know if they plan to reopen that area but there are still a limited selection of slots right outside of the Mountain Bar & in the adjoining room heading towards Caesars. Still lots of older machines but nothing much that ever interests me.

Congrats on your early wins. Glad to read that you listened to your husband (money in the bank). Last time I was in Vegas (May of last year), I met a lady in a poker tournament at Luxor who took her daughter for her 21st birthday to Vegas. She said that her daughter was "having the time of her life." I'm sure your daughter is looking forward to her birthday trip to Vegas this June. Have fun!
