Valley View Casino to Temporarily Close in January 2014

    Got my monthly flyer today.

For those of you in So Cal who are familiar with VV, they will be closed from January 6 through January 16.

They plan to do an extreme casino makeover.

Lay all new carpet, bring in all new chairs, install new marble and granite in the bathrooms, paint outside of casino and garage, and enlarge the buffet.

I have one free night hotel stay so i may stay there opening night or at least the night after. Hope it isnt too slammed there!

WOW that is so cool. It's nice already but now it will be super nice. Good luck and have fun if you stay there then. I bet it will be slammed...but you never know!

Wow ten days shut completely down. I think casinos do get a little slow in January after the holidays, so maybe a good time to close.

They said instead of it taking 6 months and doing it bit by bit, they decided just to close. Like Deb said, it doesnt really need it. But i can see how enlarging the buffet can help, it is always a very busy buffet with long lines.

I definitely would love to revisit to see the renovations.
I'm STILL going to get a handpay that doesn't involve a malfunctioning machine if it's the last thing I do. *LOL*

Yeah, can't wait to see the changes. Definitely plan on staying a night at VV this year. In Socal, they give me the best bribes.
