That's a smart move, protect your future offers. Helen is good for the $34!

It took an hour explanation to get her credit card from her. I start getting $50 FP beginning in Jan from CET Vegas and I don't want a day of almost no play to screw it up. I'm still not sure she understands though.

Oh Helen, definitely worth it if they are putting out free play. Looking forward to your Xmas TR as usual!

Then again if you plan on playing like that, well then by all means hook me up host lady!
Not playing there for a whole year made all my monthly offers dry up and go away. Plus they were booked at 95 percent that week do to conventions and the rooms were going for $570 a night, plus $25 a night resort fees, so with tax, my out of pocket would have cost me over $1,800.00 for those 3 nights!
You can now understand why she wanted 20 grand coin in to cover the room rates!

I definitely understand her concern then! Haha That's a little more reasonable I suppose, but still even a $1800 loss on $20k coin in is probably tolerable compared the real end result. The casino business is an interesting one that is for sure!

I enjoy having a host that tells me upfront what kind of play they expect from me. That way there are no surprises at checkout time.

It would be hell to charge a $500.00 Steak and lobster dinner or a thousand dollar spa treatment to your room thinking that it would be comped off, only to discover that you didn't play enough to warrant that.

With my wife using the same card and playing almost as much as me, we actually had $30,000.00 coin in during those three days which led me to calculate that she would also be able to comp an additional $1,000.00 in F&B and other room charges.....which she did at checkout!

I have heard of hosts giving out that type of information when asked by their players if they are living up to their comps or what they need to keep their level of comps, but it's a poor host who says that upfront without being asked by the player and tries to guilt one into gambling more. I had a friend recently who had a very bad experience with one of the hosts at Caesar's Palace who had originally called her and begged her to stay with them, so I know there are bad hosts out there.

I've never had a host say anything like that to me, but I have had a few M-Life hosts give me offers that I thought were insulting considering my level of play with them for the last 7 years. My host at V&P though is terrific and one trip when I said I thought I would checking out early and not giving them my normal play told me not to worry about it.

I agree that sometimes it's just tempting to pay for the room even when one factors in the resort fees and taxes if one doesn't want the pressure to live up to their past ADT on a trip they know they either won't be playing much or will be playing elsewhere.

I feel so lucky to have a host that has been in the business for many years. she always looks at our play when we meet during our stay and i can always tell by her little nod and smile if i need to back off a bit on what im charging or i am in good shape..

I am not at all knocking jersey.believe me, born and raised in the arm pit of the state.jersey city, but I think part of the attitude just might be a jersey thing, between players and host seems
conversations always sounded more stern regarldless of the actual mood of the chat haha.

Since the host probably reviewed your play history at Borgata your normal play was good enough for a comp room.

Maybe he was telling the truth he was taking a gamble on you or he says that to Everyone. Saturday nights have been gold for years. I always am suspicious it's artificial scarcity but regardless, bring two pickle jars of money and don't take a chance.
    That's all folks!
