"cut up for lumber"...Yup, the one DW always picked. Cut off a foot or two, just right. Or yeah, we had near 10ft ceilings in the old farmhouse then too.

It sounds like the tree is good therapy for you Wendy. You might like our place as we have two trees up. One is decorated in gold and white with white lights and the other on the pool deck is a traditional with all colors of ornaments (some older than me!)
We give a Christmas party early in December each year for about 50 neighbors and friends so that is tonight. Mrs flyguy has 19 Santa's around the house.
I bet you I can stop gambling!

Hope you don't mind me tagging on too. (1) So...I took some lights out and decided why untangled the ball when I just have to put them up again in a few weeks....so I plopped the ball of lights on top of a vase and made a tree of sorts for my kitchen. (2) My foyer, it's not a bright picture (3) is not my toilet, however, the picture is wallpaper on my phone.

Haha Cassie, a few of my friends on Facebook are playing with the elf with their kids.

I never claimed to be a tree designer, but Christmas can now start!

Our tree is still sitting out in the garage. We are both too lazy to bring it in and decorate lol.

She's working on it. There are at least 2000 lights in here now but not trimed out yet.

Well, here we go! Gorgeous sunny day but BRRRRR cold (25F)

    463.jpg

.... and here's the final result. It's a different tree for us ~ tall but narrow. We like to mix it up a bit!!

    464.jpg

Look forward to dressing it up in a few days once it warms up a bit!
