    Anyone with Mohegan Sun Information

I am curious what type of "offers" players at Mohegan Sun get - free play, rooms ect...especially when compared to Foxwoods. I have started playing at Mohegan a bit, but just wondering how they compare with comps, free play,

I have found a few machines that seem to be nicer to my bank roll at Mohegan, so that alone is reason to make the stop when I am in the area.

    Any information appreciated.
    Thanks - Laura

I am still waiting for my first hand pay!!!!

    Hi Laura.
I think everybody gets different offers based on their level of play.
I usually do day trips to Foxwood or Mohegan Sun, usually once per month with a BR of about $500.00 for the day.
I am a typical low roller with a max bet of no more than $1.50 on any machine. I usually start off at X1 and increase the multiplyer if I'm winning.
My offers vary month to month but typically run like this:
I get a pamphlet sent to the house each month in a calendar format showing what comps I get each day.
Usually it's about $15.00 per day, but on weekends it jumps to $25.00.
Some days the comps aren't for the slots but for restaurants or shops.
As far as room comps go,they are very stingy.
On occasion they will comp me rooms weekdays only and usually only in the winter when it's slow. I never get weekends there.
You see, I live the same distance away from CT casinos as AC casinos, and spend more of my time and money in AC, mainly because there is more to do in AC besides gamble all day.
Therefore my better comps come from AC casinos.
I used to go to Foxwood a lot but got bored with the place and switched to Mohegan.
I found Foxwood comps were never as good as Mohegan, but maybe that's changed.
My last trip to CT casinos was in October and I did both. Didn't do to well in either.
One big difference I did see was at Mohegan I could never find a drink server but at Foxwoods there were plenty.
Anyway, this is my take on it.
Wherever you go, play and have fun.
You can't put a price on fun....

I was literally going to post this same question. I haven't tried Mohegan out in a verrrrry long time. But Foxwoods is treating me pretty well.
At Foxwoods, earning about 40-50pts per day, I can get free rooms anytime and FP in the $70-$90 range. On top of that some show tickets and free gifts here and there.
Funny thing though, I posted about not getting any offers for December, which still remains, but my host was kind enough to comp two nights in late december based on my past play.
If you switch to Mohegan, please post back and let me know how the comps roll in in case my wife and I decide to jump ship. As far as the casino goes, when I'm in front of a slot, they all kind of look the same....and tight vs. loose, good runs vs. bad, once I figure that out, I'll be so rich I won't care about comps

I live in New Hampshire, about a two hour drive from both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. For intangible reasons I Foxwoods simply "feels" better to me, so I tend to play there about three times as often as MoSun.

    ROOMS-
To me, this is one of the most important comps since I tend to play for 6-12 hours straight and always need sleep before the drive home.

Foxwoods - Consistently offered me any two nights per week since my first visit in Fall of 2012
MoSun - Took several months to start getting any free room offers and they have always been rather scattershot. Here's my latest:
    201312_Hotel_V05.jpg
Additionally, MoSun doesn't allow you to make a smoking preference selection when booking rooms via their website, which is why I almost always stay at Foxwoods.
More importantly, in general, I typically book my room the week before visiting. Foxwoods has only been unable to accomodate me one time - it was an attempt at a same day booking and even after caling and trying to pay for a room, I was informed the entire resort was sold out. at MoSun, I've had the "free" rooms sold out within days of receiving the email that they were available.

    FREE PLAY
Both resorts give mostly one day offers.

    Foxwoods - $100-$150 4-5 days per week
MoSun - $20-$50 3-4 days per week (Many of these offers are only for certain hours and/or require a specific amount of play that day (play $100/Get $50))

    GIFTS

Foxwoods - $100 gift cards 1-2 days per week, tangible gift 3-4 times per month
MoSun - $50 gift cards once every 2-3 months, tangible gifts once a month

    DINING CREDIT
Both resorts give mostly one day offers.

    Foxwoods - $100 1-2 times per month
    MoSun - $40-$60 2-4 times per month

    PLAYERS PERKS
This is basically adding a one or two day "Gift Card" to your player club account that can be used anywhere at the resort other than gambling.

Foxwoods - Don't think I've ever received such an offer
    MoSun - $50 3-5 times per month

    SHOW TICKETS
I don't go to the shows at either venue, but MoSun seems to be far more generous in this arena based on the emails I delete. Probably because their Arena is a much bigger draw.

I much prefer Mohegan Sun for overall ambiance and I seem to get more play for my bankroll but Foxwoods is much more generous as far as rooms, free play and general junk. I have a couple of friends that are bigger players and they much prefer Mo for the lounges and other comps.

I do have comp rooms this week at Mo so I am heading down for a quick over nighter tomorrow. If anyone wants me to check anything out, just let me know.

Wow Aahz!- thanks for all that information, I have only played at Mohegan twice in October about 500 -700 per time and I got an offer for a small amount of free play every few days, then I got an email saying they had made a mistake - a few days later another email stating I could have $15 in free play Nov 1-15 then another $15 at the end of the month.
I really appreciate the information, for me I am not thinking Mohegan is worth the stop - but they do seem to have some cooler slot machines and they have "cheap" black jack tables which is easier on the BR for a beginner like myself.

    Thanks and enjoy.

Chris - thanks for responding. WIN BIG. I just returned from an overnight at Foxwoods but did not stop at Mohegan this time. I left with the money I came with plus another $300 - I certainly have done far worse.

    Have fun

I'm writing this from my comped room at MoSun
(Comped room that only cost me $1500 in losses )

Glad you found the info useful! I do need to make one correction, though. With their new website (which I'm not a fan of in general), you can now select smoking preference when booking a room. A VERY necessary upgrade, IMO.
