Just read a post by the poker room manager at Revel that the room is closing.

WOW. Our NA casinos here are HUGE with their poker rooms. I am surprised by this. Is there not much a poker market in AC? Do all the AC casinos, or most of them have poker rooms?

Well apparently! I meant AC in general? Is poker big there at other casinos and just not at Revel?

Absolutely Deb. Borgata's is the biggest and best and the Taj was #1 before B opened, but still has a large and loyal clientele.
Likely Revel's struggles in luring players from other properties has also applied to poker.

Not shocking, the location of the poker room is absolutely horrible, and you'd never know it was there if you didnt accidentally walk up steps or wander around the Mezz level aimlessly. I played there one time a few months ago at the loneliest, most boring 1/2 NL game ever.

Just more empty space on that floor now.

Too bad. Maybe it will come back? (who knows)
But, I'll see if I can get there to play a few hours next weekend or so.
I hear the BBJ requirement is being lowered every week until it hits. (I hear the minimum to get it is Aces full of Jacks now)
With such a low qualifying hand for the BBJ though, it'll probably hit before I can get there... :-(

Yeah, and I hear that because of their liquidation sale, the room is busier than ever. They have more tables running than Borgata.
