It somewhat depends on the type of drawing. If it is "The Big One", where they're doing one drawing for a car/cash over a period of hours, no way will I go near the place. I've made that mistake once or twice, and you can't even walk through the place, let alone get on a machine or a table. If it is like one of our nearby casinos does, with drawings several times a week (and sometimes several times each night) to participate in a game of some sort, then I have no problem with it, and in fact have had my name called twice. I wasn't the one to get to do the game (they draw six names), but I won $100 each time. I don't make a special effort to go, though.

Not only don't we go for "The Big One", we've started avoiding Cleveland Horseshoe on Super Senior Wednesdays. They draw names every hour from noon till 5 and the place is packed with over 55's (which we both are). We couldn't get on any of our favorite games or even our second choices. Plus, we couldn't hear/understand the names being announced most of the time, so we might have won and never knew it! One of the slot managers told us that Wed. are the second busiest day of the week. He said only Sat. was busier.

Places where they will draw again, I might be there if there are multiple ways to win. If a name is called and nobody wins if the person isn't present, I basically stop going there altogether and deem the casino unreputable.
    That's all folks!

We will go for hot seat drawings, where they are drawing on the hour, usually not as big a crowd as the big one time draws, and we have managed to win a few hot seats for extra cash or free play.

But we avoid those big draws, it is impossible to have fun when all the machines are full of people who are not really playing.

Regarless of the distance, we fit into that category also. SE is jammed. Been there by accident for overnighters. Now avoid those days/nights.

No, we don't bother no matter how big the prize is.
