Very sorry to hear about this David :( the frowny face doesn't do it justice but it's the best I could do! Sometimes the setbacks remind us of what's really important in life and I'm really glad you got home safe. Hope you reconsider coming back here, slot player or not just to socialize or if you need support!

    All the best

Oh my goodness, what a very, very, very bad day. I'm glad you are okay. You certainly just barely averted disaster . . . Good luck at getting everything taken care of---cell phone, flashlight, bandaids, your car back.

Sorry to hear of the bad experience you had. Glad you weren't hurt even worse from the fall, or any of the other dangers that might have been out there. As for being prepared, since most of my casino trips involve at least some driving at night, and it's about 140 miles each way to the casino, there are three things that I always make sure I have with me, and that is my cellphone, my mobile ham radio (not CB), with which I can always contact someone even if I have no cellular service, and last but not least, my .357 magnum. Another thing I do, since I usually make the trips by myself, is call my wife when I arrive at the casino, and give her a call when I start back home, that way if she doesn't hear from me , or I don't arrive back home in a reasonable time, someone would know that something was possibly wrong and take further action if necessary.

I know someone who said they attend AA meetings online, so maybe there is something similar for gambling. It's probably not good gambling when you have had a heart attack, under stress from the bills, etc. I broke down once on the highway and did the same thing walking in the woods practically because I became paranoid in the darkness. I drive by the place now and always laugh because when I finally made it to civilization, I found all the cops at the Dunkin Donuts. Get focused and find a hobby.
    That's all folks!

Sorry to hear this brotha. Just take a break and get priorities taken care of first. Stop going to the local save your money and head to LV. Better chances and options. Take care.
