    Vegas vs. Laughlin Slot Payouts

The wife and I are taking a trip to Vegas in the next few weeks, and have considered a side trip to Laughlin as part of the trip. It has been a long time since we've played there, but I remember that at one time, Laughlin was pretty decent with slot payouts. I have read a few articles that say it doesn't match up to LV payouts these days, when compared to each other.

Curious if anyone has compared notes on the winning games between these two areas, thanks. If Laughlin isn't a good place to go, we'll just stay in Vegas.

If you're talking about Vegas Strip, I gotta believe Laughlin is a better bet. We've taken probably 4 side trips to Laughlin from Vegas over the last six years and I can't tell any difference but it's hard to tell when you're only there for two days. I LOVE that drive and staying along the river, it's such a nice diversion from the Strip.

Personally I think ANYTHING is better than the Strip. At least that has been my experience. Having said that we haven't won in Laughlin since 2008 :( Honestly, in Nevada I think Reno is your best bet. We absolutely adore Laughlin even when/if we lose because the atmosphere is so rewarding and it's just overall so mellow. No matter what our bankroll last longer in Laughlin than it does on the strip for sure. Lots of luck when you go. Like Trey mentioned, the drive from LV to Laughlin is nice!

Google Nevada Gaming Commission. Slot payouts. They do a good listing by denomination by region. If I remember correctly Laughlin is not much better than Strip. Boulder and Henderson area is best especially for penny slots.

Just based on my experience, any casino in Laughlin seems to have better payouts than any on the Vegas strip and I know the payout data says that. Some casinos in Laughlin also seem to be better than others as far as payouts- Colorado Belle and sometimes Aquarius is where I have had my best luck.

However, if I had my choice, I would stay in Vegas and go to the locals places. Those definitely seem by far to be the best to me and I know the data confirms that as well. There are so many of these locals places in Vegas that I still haven't been able to make it to all of them yet myself, so you could definitely spend some time at those.
