I am still seeing new Aruze games in Reno. But they are replacing old Aruze games and not replacing their competitors. I don't play them often because I don't like the payback strategy. I would not be surprised if they go under within the next 5 years. They do not seem to have a loyal following, like other manufacturers.

Count me in as one who LOVES playing them. Just a few weeks ago I played Frankenmama just a few hours after it was installed in the Golden Nugget. It was easily the most "fun" slot I've played in a very long time. And overall, i do well on the new Aruze over any other manufacturers new offerings.

I like the Double Hit Progressive which takes $.30 a spin.

    ^^^^Oops those are Ainsworth.

Aruze games seem irritating and way too loud IMO from watching people play them but not investing in them myself.

^^^^ Oops again. I did play Giant Panda game and was less than thrilled with bonus playing rescue spin.

Their mechanical reels definitely have the look and feel of the Japanese pachinko. Aruze just finally moved in to Four Winds, and we have some of their games now. I've had the chance to play Paradise Fishing a year ago at Firekeepers though. I would rank that game high in the community game department. Way better than anything new on the floor, but will never hold a candle to WMS' Reel 'em In: Compete to Win.

We don't have Aruze at my local casino. The only opportunity I had to try one was on the Majesty of the Seas during a quick cruise.

When I first tried it, I hated it. I thought it was somewhere between odd and juvenile. The graphics were very cartoony and some of the gameplay was annoying.

After a while, though, I realized that I was looking forward to its corny graphics and animations. Watching the panda family running across the screen, with junior trailing behind, was very amusing. Of course, it did help that these animations preceded big wins.

So, would I play more Aruze if it were available to me locally? I don't know. I'm in love with WMS games these days, but I think I'd set aside some money for Aruze games.

I really enjoyed the first batch of games with the rescue spin feature. Shen-long was fun. I Tried the new games, they are just plain out boring.

Shamus, next time your in Veags go downtown to the Vegas Club. On the wall facing the street they have a Queen game. They rarely change machines threre so there is a good chance it will be there next time you go. I really like that game and play it whenever I'm downtown. They also have a Cranky Condor but I've given up on that game, every time i get the bonus it ends in like 3 shakes. I like Aruze games, wish more places had them.

Pronounced Ah Roo Zeh (but we'll just call them 'Blue' haha)
It seems that Universal Entetainment Corp (Aruze, yes) has concentrated on the overseas market.
(Lawsuit with Wynn over undervalued price on Stock buy-out seems to be the main US news)
Philippines (building a Casino, I believe I read), Latin America, believe they have a presence in Australia ? yes?, and of course, Japan.
It seems they are heavily involved in Pachinko and Pakislo/Packislots (they see the 'future' there)
According to their Financial Statements (JASDAQ), they have seen a good increase in Sales
    e.g. 1st Quarter 2011: (in M Yen) $11.7, 1st Quarter 2012: $21.3

Well, I guess they see the revenue will come from outside No America.
