Heartbroken...

To all of our dear friends... This is not easy for me, I am posting with permission to say that our very dear friend thelma "Amy" has recently lost her son due to covid19 complications... I received a pm from our friend her daughter weezie "Steph" explaining the details of what medically transpired which I prefer not to get in to. But I do want to say this... this wonderful family reached out to me because we are very close friends! Although I only met Amy & Steph once at a M&G we spent a lot of time together, they were my tour guides. I also believe they reached out to me because just a few years ago I lost my youngest son, to say it was devastating is an understatement so they knew I could relate. I want to say this, when my wife and I lost our son Amy continuously reached out to us to a point where she was our baby sitter! I will always love her for that!! Can there be any hope that can come out of this? The answer is Yes!! I know this because when I was going through my grief Amy was quoting scripture to me and it was a source of great comfort... The belief that Almighty God will one day hopefully soon make Everything Right is the shoulder we lean on and the key to finding comfort over time... Chances are Amy & Steph will not be posting for awhile but they will check in and they will see the love pour out of this Wonderful forum!

Oh, Rich, that is heartbreaking. I’m so, so sorry for your/our SF friends and their family. Thank you for sharing with us so we can all pray for strength and comfort for them.

Thank-you for letting us know this devastating news. My heart breaks for both of them.....just as it did when you lost your son. I cannot imagine the horrible grief that is felt ~ I hope that the closeness with God comforts everyone at this time. It is a reminder for all to hug your kids (and others) a little tighter
