Yes, they are doing it right. All the Cherokee casinos in Oklahoma are now smoke free and require masks.
I love walking around the casino with no smoke. You do not realize how dirty the machines get with the smokers. Riverspirit has more areas that are smoke free now. My favorite Firelink machines are now smoke free. It is so nice walking up to the machines and no stinky ash trays and no ashes all over the machines.

Excellent! I wish some Cherokee casinos were closer to Texas. Maybe Winstar will take the hint!

Being a senior with underlying health issues Winstar is the last Casino I would visit. According to a Facebook post I saw a visitor to Winstar got the virus on his trip. He is getting over it. From videos I have seen I'm not surprised he got sick.

I agree, they need to do better as the biggest casino in the world. I sent them a comment, no response yet.

Spent 4 days at MGM Grand with my daughter and her friend last week. The strip was quiet compared to past trips. Inside was busy with people milling about, but the floor was not too crowded.

About half the people were wearing masks. I would wear it walking around, but once I found a slot I took mine off. Waitresses were pretty prompt, slots were hot and cold, no handpays even betting 6-10$ a spin on various LL, Dragon link, Fire Link and reel machines. Hit a $560 Major on a dragon link which was pretty cool.

In short, if you are freaked out about this shit, stay at home. I am not, so I didn't, and we had a good time. I will say that 113 deg at Valley of Fire state park is no joke. The wind actually feels like its cooking you vs. cooling you off.

Well I finally had the opportunity to return to a casino. During my recent visit to Edmonton AB, Canada I went to the River Cree (Alberta's Largest Casino) and I have to say I was presently surprised:

    No temperature checks at door
No mask requirement (if you did wear a mask you had to stand in a spot to security could identify you).
All the slot machines were in full operation. They had plastic dividers between each machine so no one could breath near you.
They had cleaning staff all over the place continually cleaning the screens and surfaces.

Now here is where I felt unsafe. Embers (a new smoking casino) was fully crowded with people sitting near shoulder to shoulder (of course no one was wearing any masks). It was smokey in there and it didnt look like they were limiting the amount of people. I took one walk in walked around (to see if they had any new games) and then walked right out. Honestly didnt feel safe with covid in there.

If your in the main casino, you were fine. It's well ventilated and mostly clean.

They flash and announce a reminder every 20 mins or so (to promote social distancing).

Valet Parking remains closed (for obvious reasons).

Slots seemed like they were paying normal. No outstanding wins (that I saw for the few hours I was there).

So did the casino workers wear masks at all? I'm not familiar with Canada's COVID numbers or territory mandates...maybe it's not as problematic currently there as in the US right now?

Went to Foxwoods at 3 a.m. to turn reward credits into cash. Had more than 300 in my account, hated to see it sitting there. For several years now we go in the wee hours and only spend at Dunkin, plus Mohegan has become our primary casino. Turned the 300 into $150 cash to play with. First machine Wonder 4 tower, second spin Wicked Winnings bonus, lots of ravens etc ended at $340 hit. Hour later played Wonder 4 Tall Fortunes bonused on Buffalo Gold Collection. 31 games total and had all 15 heads with 9 games remaining. They came out stampeding, and we went home right after, me with $1300 xtra in my pocket
