Can't wait to give it a try this weekend on my visit there. Sounds like Coushatta must be moving to Aristocrat's OASIS 360 player tracking system from the older Bally system they had (seeing as online access to account information has been unavailable for quite sometime.)

Yes, you would need to use your player's card as that is how the system tracks where you are to deliver the drink. Additionally, this tracks the timing before the next order. It is nice that you can order at one machine and then go to another and they can find you.

Another nice feature that Margaritaville in Bossier City has is the ability to tip using your points instead of having to look for $1 bills or getting change.

The staff should have shown you how to order a bourbon and coke right from the machine using the system and how add it to your favorites to make it easier the next time. There is a way to do it, but admittedly it is not as intuitive as it should be at the moment. Alcoholic drinks are limited to 1 every 20 minutes in accordance with responsible serving policies but non-alcoholic drinks should only be limited to every 10 minutes. I'm going to inquire as to if this is working properly or not.

We are currently upgrading our in-game hardware in regards to the card system. Once that is complete we will be able to redesign a new menu that will be more user friendly and intuitive. The current hardware has a number of limitations that will be removed once the whole floor is upgraded. (We're about 1/3 of the way through the floor now)

Overall we have been getting mostly positive comments. The biggest problem with traditional cocktail service has been that the amount of time you'd have to wait for someone to ask you for an order was random. If you happen to be in the right place at the right time you might get great cocktail service the entire visit. On the other hand, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time you may not be asked for cocktails the entire visit. For example, if you sat down in an area that the cocktail server just delivered you might not get asked for another 20-30 minutes. If, during that time, you move to another section where the cocktail server just made a round it can happen again. This system allows you to order a drink any time you want.

Another benefit is that we can finally measure our drink service times. I'm a big believer in "what you measure you will improve". We are seeing average times well under 10 minutes on weekends and under 6 minutes during the week. But, there are admittedly some hiccups.

So, again thanks for you feedback and I hope we can exceed expectations on your next visit.
I'm going Jan 31 and will post my feedback on return.

Does that mean "no card, no drink"? Hope the replacement can read the card better.

This system...or one similar is in use at Margaritaville in Bossier. I have used it to order a drink and no one shows (they say it didn't go through or you caught us at shift change) however I'm now stuck for 20 minutes until I can reorder.

They do ... or did have waitress service still roaming the floor however and I found that supporting a waitress with a nice tip kept service moving.

I go to relax, tune out, and not give a care. As long as I can still drive the elevator to my floor after you've taken my money I'm happy.
No, you don't need a card to order drinks with this system. You do have to have credits in the machine though. After you put in any dollar amount you have the option to order a drink. If you cash out before the drink comes then order is canceled, so you'll want to remember that. If you're using a card and your order a drink, you can move to another game and your new location will be sent to the Cocktail Server on their mobile device as long as you pick a new machine and insert your card within 5 minutes.

No, it's still the ACSC system from Scientific Games but we are upgrading the "iViews" (the in-game hardware consisting of the display screen, card reader, and other components) from iView 2 to the latest iView 4. We can't do the tipping feature at the moment due to iView 2 limitations, but after all the upgrades we could. Oh, and good luck this weekend!

Good luck on your next visit! No, you don't have to have a card, just keep credits in the game. The option comes up after you put money it. If you cash out before your drink is delivered the system thinks you're gone and cancels the order. And yes, the new hardware should have MUCH better card acceptance than the old!

Oh very good. I've always though you had the best player card display system that was easy to use. Some places it's so difficult! I'm glad I scheduled to come this weekend on Saturday and Sunday so I can utilize the 25X multiplier from 12pm-1pm!

That's crazy waiting 30 minutes for a drink. Harrah's has the drink ordering at the machines...it is hardly foolproof. I have waited many times for a drink that does not arrive. Now, before I get on one of my favorite machines I order a drink from the bar...water, tea with lemon & honey or coffee, there is no charge but I still tip the staff.

I should also add that Coushatta still has their self-serve stations for ICEEs, soft drinks and tea available as well on the floor. Maybe coffee as well, but I'm not sure since I don't drink that.

Does it need to be real money or does freeplay also have drinks available? Of course I'll use real money too, but if it is needed to order drink I would start with that then freeplay. Waiting for Jan 31.
