Quick review of 8 days of vegas

So another trip to Vegas is in the book. Did I win, yes the first 3.5 days. Arrived Tuesday and had to wait until a room was open so I ate lunch then low played because I know you can lose a bankroll quickly. I started with $20 in a old schoo Buffallo and cashed out $210.00. For the week unp until Friday afternoon I was mid betting and hitting for $200 here $350 there, so by Firday noon I was up $450. Then the wheels fell off, it was that obvious how bad the slot play was from Friday afternoon through Sunday night, nothing and I mean nothing was hitting. If and when you got a bonus it was sickening. I refsed to even raise my betting. For the week down 580.00, which I will say is not bad, I have done worse.

The good thing was I got to the airport and turned $40.00 into $525.00 cashing in 4 different tickets. I was mid betting and can only think what I may wonder if I maxed bet.

This depresses me to no end, the weekend slot payback. It is either they are set to 85% and “that’s just how they are” or the payback is being manipulated or scheduled in some way.
Moved back to Ohio from AZ. Rude awakening. The Ohio casinos are horrible.

When I go to Vegas, the airport seems to be the most generous play of my trip. With all the casinos putting in those server based machines, I do not doubt one bit their ability to switch the percentages with the click of a mouse for the week end. I think we are being manipulated ( and the machines also) more than ever now by the casinos.

Where did you stay in Vegas? My next trip to Vegas I will probably stay downtown.

Sorry about the delay in responding. I stayed at Ballys comped 5 nights with a very good rate Saturday and Sunday. As for the slot play and pay, there is no doubt something was fishy as it was quite obvious nothing and I mean nothing was paying, no bonus no line hits nothing. This was my 13th trip to Vegas so I sort of knew Friday by noon something was up so I pulled back my slot play or went minimum betting. The worse pay was Buffalo Gold $3.00 bet bonus with a ton of retriggers ended up paying less than $40.00. I stopped. As for the airport the very nice slot area worker said you would be surprised at how many big winners they have there on any given day of the week. As I waited for our flight to board I witnessed several nice pays on various machines with different people.

Perhaps the return to a player percentages at strip and downtown casinos have fallen so low that they now pay less than the airport slots. Very sad indeed.

The last time I went to Vegas, I stayed at Bally's. Got five nights comped. Lost my As* there. I liked the location especially since it connected to Paris and centrally located. But I think I am going to either stay downtown or on the boulder strip and try to "locals" casinos. The strip is there to fleece the weekend tourists.

In my experience, CET properties are very generous with comped nights, but you pay for it at the slots.

Dollar for dollar and minute for minute we average winning more at the airport than we do at the tribals here, that old line of thought I believe comes from when Vegas and AC were the only game in town and the casinos were looser. We've never had a handpay but have had some great wins there pretty much every return flight including this last one when the better half hit $800+ on a WOF dollar game.
