Did Total Rewards get rid of Return Rewards?

I think there were different names for it, depending on the area you were in, but in Maryland, it was called Return Rewards. Basically, depending on your play (here, it was structured at 75 points, then 100/200 and so forth), you got some FP for next time, usually 4-5 days from now.

I ask because it's been a few weeks since I've gotten any Return Rewards, and I've given decent play in the interim. Asked my host, but she says she doesn't know and it isn't covered in her domain, despite being an Executive Host. Makes me wonder if the change in ownership led to some changes that we are slowly seeing.

Instead, I've gotten dining dollars, which I really don't care about, but basically, you get food only money depending on your play over the past week.

If they get rid of Return Rewards, that might actually tip the scale for me against Total Rewards. That was one of the primary reasons to keep going, knowing your previous play could lead to more immediate return.

I got return rewards from a recent visit to AC. However, they are really bad about sending the email. It's very hit or miss. Sometimes they send the email and sometimes they don't. Also, it takes ten minutes to download them onto the machine because their interface is so outdated and slow.

yeah from what i understand it was a Baltimore management decision. Idiotic on their part, IMO, as that was one of the few things they had going for them in regards to program advantages. I mean, even in AC, Oceans Resort will let you go 2/1 Comp for FP, so some of TR's "selling points" aren't so great anymore (leaving aside that the ratio used to be better for higher cards).

Just stupid decision making on Baltimore's part, IMO. I've been fairly loyal, but everyone knows they are struggling in the market. $135 that can only be used in restaurants is not going to entice me to definitively go and give more FP, not when I know I get a ladder bonus with Live, per month (still not as good as the old yearly bonus system, but it's okay), and MGM National Harbor is more enticing anyways.

I figured I'd update my own thread, but it looks like after 2 idiotic months, they are getting rid of Dining Dollars and reverting back to Return Rewards. It was a cluster-f. The waitress at the Chinese restaurant said that she was left running back and forth, adding a ton of work for her. Return Rewards are given at a lower rate than Dining Dollars, but I think most prefer it.

I'm guessing they had a ton of complaints. I know my host told me there was new management and a big shakeup coming. After all ... they just had their worst month ever in terms of revenue ... EVER ... and this is with Live and MGM still getting stronger.

It's because they're awful, literally awful. That's the place I am 100% boycotting because of what one of their employees did. I know I sometimes write little complaints here about certain casinos and boycott them for a bit, but Horseshoe boycott is permanent for me. They need to be managed better.

Yeah, I vaguely recall you were upset about something ... filming and getting kicked out? That would fall under the domain of security, and it's a mixed bag there on security, although I do know the night time security head and he's a good guy. Along with piss poor management (I'm sure the lady, former SVP and RP Erin Charmberlain) had some nice, progressive ideas, but she failed to understand her market and pissed away a lot, a lot of customers with poor decision-making (like leaving only two stores in the food court ... okay technically 3 but the other one closes early ...). I still say that the easiest way to get more walk-in customers is to build a food court that actually has some affordable dining options. Still not convinced this outdoor gaming patio/terrace is going to be the boon they think it is.

Besides security, though, I do think the attendants and other staff there are the best I've been at any casino in the country, though.

As a side note, Horseshoe Baltimore is about to be the first casino in the region to put in Money Link slots and Rising Fortunes slots. Don't know if they will use the standard multi-denom options at other places (after all, the ultimate firelink is now set at only penny denom).

Some commentsz: (1)In AC they still have return rewards. Some days your play qualifies for return rewards x5, (2)In AC Caesars slot info screen is MUCH faster than Harrah's. In any event once you start the redemption of promo redemption, immediately pull your card out and put it back in, your $ will be in your BANK. (3)In AC they have biweekly buffet/dining coupons, a few ywars ago they were going paperless but a few weeks later they went back to paper., (4)Caesars and Harrah's [I don't play in Bally's] have biweekly promos: gift cards, rewards credits or free play; even though RCs are downloaded in AC they are good NATIONWIDE.

    Wisherman,
Our local casinos have a lot of the Firelink. You can play the penny denomination up to a $1 denomination. I would not be very happy if they reduced the payouts to only the penny denomination. I have hit jackpots on almost all the denominations. I love the Firelinks. I hope our locals will get the Rising Fortune machines. I want to try them. Have you tried a game called Fortune Gong? This is quickly becoming one of my favorite games. Good luck.
