Tragic to read, my thoughts are with the people who now find themselves out of work. Who will be next to decide to get " lean and mean " ????

When are these casinos going to realize that, when they try to "nickel & dime" their customers to death, there are alternatives out there. Like all the resort fees they try to add on your bill. I was at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, and had to take a pill. So I walked over to the snack bar and asked for a cup of water. I was told that they no longer give "free water", but I could buy a bottle of water. I just walked away, and went to the water fountain. And the prices for anything edible are going up & up. At the Scarlet Pearl ( also in Biloxi ) they wanted $9 for a simple cinnamon bun. And $1.50 for a snickers candy bar. The only way to combat this is to be very frugal when you purchase anything at a casino. Eat before you go, and drink a lot of water. Who knows, restroom visits may be next!!

Casinos will continue to do it as long as people put up with it and pay it. Look at amusement parks...have you seen the prices for admission and food at these places? Yet, people still go and pay the prices.

I am willing to bet the vast majority of workers getting laid off are over 50; which will make it a challenge to find employment. Sad.
