    Hi Folks:

Do you know when you will be in the Niagara Falls area? Slot Mole live in Niagara Falls region. I live about 2 hours away -- but I know a little about the place! The Canadian side of the falls is a lot better for events/view etc.! So you will want to the Canadian side if possible. You will want a rental car if possible! You will want a map -- it is not too complicated -- but a little confusing. So best to play ahead! If you know your route -- that is the best! This post is mostly about casino life (haha):

    CASINOS
    ----------

    US
    ---

Seneca Niagara - The best US casino in the Niagara Falls area is Seneca. They have almost 4000 machines! It is about 25 minutes from Buffalo --- or 40 minute from the Buffalo airport! Seneca is localed about a 1/2 mile from the border. They have the cheapest gas (as this in a native owned casino). There are several ways to get here -- depending if you want the fastest way, the way over Grand Island, NY or the most scenic! Top flight casino and worth a look! Smoking -- but they remove smoke well -- they have an ample sized non-smoking.

Buffalo Creek - A smaller casino. Nice machine selection! This is right is downtown Buffalo! You can go to a Sabres Game is the Bison in the Summer (Blue Jays farm team).

Batavia Downs, and Hamburg - Decent sized casinos but not fancy at all! If you want to be a completist hey have a different style of games -- all class 3 though! Some old video slots here as well as newer! Batavia is by the Buffalo Bills!

    CANADA
    ----------

You will be 2 hours from Toronto but there is enough to go in Niagara Falls -- especially in summer! You will get right around $400 Canadian for $300 US -- and it fluctuation each day. No need to get money early! I'd guess half of Fallsview Guest are international (Asia is popular). Just as you expect -- the main strip is kind of expensive for food (Rainforest Café and Hard Rock etc) but got 2 miles out -- and you will get some very reasonable prices!

FALLSVIEW - This is likely the best casino in Canada. Canadian and American is pretty much interchangeable -- some ATM's will serve you in both currencies -- and cash out machines (TITO) are the same! Many Canadian banks (CIBC banks will offer US). There is mice walk, a nice view --- and you can see the falls from the buffet! You can see both the US falls and the Canadian falls! About 3000 or 4000 machines. The latest stuff!

Casino Niagara - Tis was the 'temporary' casinos they used for a long time --- and they are much smaller than the used to be! This place is pretty good as a destination -- There is a cool indoor water park on top of the parking garage! There have a bit better than 2000 machine -- and they have SOME new games -- and one heck of a lot of relics! I am still licking my wound since they
Double Jackpot Stampede made a exit this year! It is less than 1 mile from Fallsview and what a walk!

A few must see attractions I can suggest are:

    *Hornblower Boat Tour*
You take a boat ride up.the Niagara River and get up right beside the Falls.

    *Journey Beyond the Falls*
You get to go down in the caves behind the Falls.

*Niagara Sky Wheel and Clifton hill*
A huge sky wheel that gives you breath taking views of the Falls and area. Located on Clifton-hill, this is where all the family fun is located. From Haunted Houses, to to wax museums to mini golf courses and arcade with bowling lanes your family is sure to keep busy there.

    *Falls Waterpark*
If the weather turns, you may want to consider spending the day at the indoor waterpark (located above the Casino Niagara Parkade).

For nighttime entertainment and activities, I would recommend seeing "what's happening" during your stay. There's alot of nightlife in the Niagara Falls area (from outdoor patios with live music, to comedy shows at Yuk Yuks to bar scene at some near by pubs to live concerts and shows. There's also a IMAX theater and a few 3D/4D turbo ride theatres.

When eating in the Falls, you really need to plan ahead as the good restaurants can be busy or full. I totally recommend a day-evening in Niagara on the Lake. Also the restaurants at the Casino are very good as well.

    Hope this helps.
I live here in Niagara Falls (about 10 minutes from Fallsview) so if you have any further questions or would like to get together let me know. SM

    Other things to Do
    ---------------------

You can discover so much! The Kelly and Ryan show went to Niagara Falls and has a great time for a week on the Canadian Side! Make sure you get a PASSPORT or you are not getting anywhere! Ten years ago -- we just trusted each other! haha

If you want to do something totally unique -- see OH CANADA, EH!

It is the longest running Dinner Theatre in Canada -- and they play 77 Canadian songs while you eat! It is highly recommended -- and you will get to meet people from all over! Here is alittle video:

Two months ago -- I put together this video:

Here is an old one from 5 years ago!

If you have a car -- you can check out Niagara on the Lake --- you will see lots of Wineries and lots of Millionaires! haha

It might give you some good ideas of places to stay if you come back. If you want to met -- it could happen if the dates work out!

I forgot to add something as well:

If you like to Golf, Niagara Falls has some of the most spectacular Golf Courses in Canada.
Whirlpool Golf Course along the Niagara is probably the nicest public course you have ever been too.
Legends Niagara is a 36 hole championship golf course just outside Niagara (in Chippawa where I live).

    Amazing Restaurants there.

Just my 2 cents, when we visited in 2005, we flew into Buffalo. We rented a car and stayed on the Canadian side. The couple of restaurants we ate at took US currency, but they brought change in Canadian funds. We stayed at the Marriott Fallsview, and had a room with an amazing view. I would go again, it was so beautiful! We also went to the Butterfly conservatory and I think Niagara on the Lake.
