    Spring Break Casino Run.

Sorry for the delay on creating this trip report. I have been busy as a one armed saxophonist.

We left Wisconsin at 0330 Saturday morning. We traveled from Wisconsin to Iowa and stopped at a casino called Lakeside ( old Terribles Casino ) on I-35 in Osceola, Iowa and played for about 1.5 hours. I went ahead 103.26. We then hit the road to Wichita KS and spent Saturday and Sunday with my Brother in Law. We hit the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, KS Sunday after supper, dropped 100.00 each and went to bed. We departed for River Wind Casino played 3 hours won 69.90 then drove to Choctaw Durant for our 2 day stay. We arrived at 4:41 PM checked in and in a matter of 6 hours of gaming wife and I dropped 500.00. We went to bed and woke up at 830 am ate breakfast and I said lets go to WinStar. We drove 1 hour 17 minutes and arrived and went into the New York portion of the “casino”. We gamed from 330-630 PM and had some decent wins (170.00) and a lot of “entertainment value”. I can say that I would recommend Winstar over Choctaw any day. My wife mentioned that when we got back to Choctaw. She felt the “South” Portion of Choctaw Casino was better to play in than the “North Casino”. We did not step foot in the North part again and did ok. Well at least better than the first day. Food is EXPENSIVE and so so in quality. 2 Eggs, Coffee, Toast, 2 links of sausage and hash brown potatoes were run of the mill average but cost us as a 4 or 5 star hotel at 28.50 with out tipon that amount. WE also ate at the buffet the last night and the “southern fried chicken” was horrendous. I can not eat the skin so I peel off the skin and start to debone the meat and it smelled very strange. I can not even begin to describe it but I can tell you that I totally lost my appetite and ate some green beans, pickled beets and some fruit. I would not feed this crap to a raccoon. I do not mind paying top dollar for any meal but it should blow me away for that kind of money This is not Las Vegas but they act like it. The room was nice and clean and bed was good. .

Choctaw Durant NO. GO TO WINSTAR!!!!!!!!!

We departed Choctaw Casino now down 1,200.00 and stopped at RT66 Harley so I could get a T shirt and a couple dealer Poker chips for my collection. We proceeded to drive to Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa, OK. We arrived at 12:12 Pm and had the bellhop bring in our luggage and store it as we could not check in until 4:00 or so. At this point I must tell you Sue and I met the MOST WONDERFUL WOMAN in the World. My fellow fanatics know her as KUDA and we know her as a friend for the ages. MS. Kuda used her personal comps to provide Sue and I with not only a room but also buffet comps. She is a beautiful person who has a great heart and mind. My wife got our gear up to the room and we went gaming with Kuda and had a BLAST! I was playing FireLink alongside Ms Kuda and I did rather well at the HR. We had a blast and gamed until about 930 pm or so as I had planned on going to the River Spirit Casino with Ms. Kuda but I ran out of gas (OXYGEN) . With my COPD and the excitement of the gaming and not pacing myself, I had to go to my room and repair the damage of low O2. Well, that took a long time and I let Ms. Kuda know I would not be back down as originally planned. I felt so bad but I was in a bad place with my oxygen being so low that I had to rest. I am so thankful to have had the pleasure to meet Ms. Kuda and her friend and the pure fun and quality hosting of a fellow Slot Fanatic! I did better with her guidance and actually won some money back! I recommend HR Casino,Tulsa.

We departed Hard Rock Casino on Thursday March 28 and stopped at Buffalo Run Casino. All I can say is the only thing running that morning was my money into their coffers. I played 80.00 on Sharknado and got NOT ONE BONUS hit. I stopped and put the remaining 20.00 into Lock It Link Diamonds and won about 56.00. I then played the Harley game and pumped about 100.00 into three different machines varying the bet and not one bonus. I did get called as I won 25.00 FP and that disappeared as fast as my money. We did get comped a Brunch/ Buffet and the food was good.

Departed Buffalo Run and stopped at Downstream Casino. I had wanted to stop at Indigo Sky Casino but, I totally forgot to program it in. I wish I had as we did not fare well at DS Casino. Who knows?

We then arrived at our hotel in KC and went to Hollywood Casino and it started out rough but we ended up making amends and took 650.00 back to our hotel. We then drove towards home on Friday and since my wife had never been to the Q Casino in Dubuque, Iowa we stopped there to game one last shot. I ended up winning 300+ and my wife won about 255.00. So final tally was $4,000 – losses + Wins 1575.00 take home. 2,215 miles. Not bad for all the gaming we did and the entertainment value.

Sorry this was so long but it was a big trip. Next year we are wanting to do Atlantic City and some casinos in the area on way back to Wisconsin.

Here are some photos. The ones of sharknado and the aquarium looking game called Discovery Shark Week were at Winstar New York. The harley ones are from Planet Hollywood.

Sooo glad you had fun. And, yes, Kuda is a treasure. Wish I lived closer to her.

    Bonethrower,
It was so much fun meeting you and Sue at Hard Rock. I am so glad I was able to give you some of my comps.
Playing with you two was a great pleasure. I wish you guys could have made it over to Riverspirit but maybe if you guys come back to Winstar sometime you can stop at Hard Rock and Riverspirit then. If you ever make it back to this area please let me know and we will eat and play the machines again. Good luck wherever you go.

Absolutely! Winstar will be the choice as opposed to Choctaw when we make another road trip. Best of gaming vibes for you.

I agree about Choctaw Durant being over priced. Did you check out the room service menu? It was ridiculous.
