I've been playing the slots for 7 years now, and of those years the Lightning Links since they came out (what is that, 3 years? 4 years?). And I've never dreamt of hitting the Grand (like actually dreamt while asleep) until about a week or two ago. And it was SO vivid that I couldn't help but remember it and wonder about it. To have it actually happy is just beyond uncanny, I think.

I also wanted to mention something the slot attendant said to me while I was waiting for them to pay me. She asked me what I was going to do with the money. I said I was heading straight to the bank to put in a college account for my child. She told me that made her day to hear it because she has seen too many people win JPs and literally keep gambling day after day, losing it as quickly as they won it. That really stuck with me. If I win another large JP, I'll be doing the same thing. it's going in a retirement or college fund -- somewhere where it can't be withdrawn without penalty. I'll never regret that.

Good luck to all of you. I hope you have good dreams and big wins!

I believe you. I have those kind of dreams too. They are very real and they always come true. I've only had one about slot machines though. Congrats on the big win.

Crossing this off my bucket list. Now please forgive me if this is a bit long. But I have to set context. I swear on everything holy that I had a dream last week that I won the Grand on a LL or Dragon Link machine. It was one of those very realistic dreams. Of course I wrote it off as nothing but wishful thinking manifesting itself in my dreams. So today, I headed to my local to pick up my FP which they have seriously cut back on. Now NORMALLY, they offer gift cards or FP. I almost always take the gift cards because it's a sure thing. Today, the gift cards were oddly to somewhere I never go and have not seen them offer before. So I took the FP. This is key to my story.

I also had my own BR to play a little, which of course I promptly lost. But I had not yet used the FP. So I decided to hit the Links. And normally, I stay at one or two banks of the Links and do not stray further down the casino to where another bank is tucked away. Why? That bank is always packed. Always. I can't ever get on them. And when I do, I don't have much luck. Today, for no reason at all, I decided to try my luck there.

Picture the bank of machines -- five of them, from left to right: Hearthrob, Bengal Treasures, Moon Race, Tiki Fire, HAppy Lantern. There is one guy on Tiki. All others are empty. So I try Hearthrob and use my FP (which was $150). I'm up and down and up and down and cash out somewhere around $100 or slightly less. I move over to Bengal. Nada. I've got about $37 left.

The guy on Tiki is pounding away. I go to Happy Lantern but see that the last person cashed out a very large ticket, so of course I decide the machine will therefore not pay anything (total farce but it's how we gamblers think sometimes).

So I do Moon Race. This particular Moon Race has NEVER been good to me or anyone that I've witnessed. What the heck. I put my ticket in and surprisingly get some hits. I eventually get my ticket up to about $130. So now I try the 10 cent denom. I get a bonus for about $190. I play some more. Nothing. Then switch back to pennies, betting between $1.50, $2.50 and $5.00. Boom, I get a bonus on the $5.00 bet and it is a GREAT bonus -- about $390 or so. I'm very happy with this and literally thinking this was my best return on FP I've had a in a very long time.

But of course, I play a few more spins at $5.00. And then I hit the 6 balls again, and I'm thinking -- wow. Moon Race is on fire today. And the balls are pretty decent too. it's like a really decent bonus again. And the balls fill up, as they've done the probably hundreds of times I've played the Links over the years. That ONE SPOT is left open, and the drum roll happens. Yeah yeah yeah. Been down this road before.

Except this time was different. And I knew it right away. And I kid you not ... it was the upper left corner that was open, and the balls whizzing by ... one was lit up. And every YT video I have seen for LL seems to indicate that if that last ball isn't showing as lit up somehow, you ain't got a chance for the grand. This was lit up. I saw the ball. A $5.00 ball. Whizzing by. Spin one, nothing lands. I see it lit up and I shout, "It's lit up!" and then I shout, "I had a dream about this!"

And then .. IT LANDS. HOLY MOLY. I am in total shock. I think I screamed HOLY $%&*. And then I also thought -- wow, and the bonus itself was good too!

The Grand was at $12,700 or so. Total win was just shy of $13k. My biggest JP to date. I got $1000 in cash for future play (of course I'll be back) and a cashier's check which I RAN to deposit at the bank in a college account for my child -- and therefore off limits.

I am in total and complete shock. And I am also really freaked out that I dreamt about this before.

And if anyone is reading this and wondering -- yes, the final ball was LIT UP as it whizzed by which I've not seen before. So it appears to be true that this has to happen on LL to have a shot at the Grand. I'm attaching a pic if you can see it.

And if any other YT-ers are on here, thanks for all the work you put into your videos. I absolutely love them and would not have known this little "tell" without watching others hit the Grand.Attachment 37151

Every once in a while a new post will jump out and grab me, and yours certaily did .. After your incredible win streak last year this should be just another day at the office, but not so ....

I could feel your excitement and thrills on this one as you beautifully guided us through the adventure, and please know that everyone of us was thrilled for you.
As a parent I know the love you showed for your child with your decision to invest the money for the future, I've done the same thing...

I love stories that make you feel good after you have read them, and you hit it dead, solid, perfect, here.

Thank you for sharing , I toasted your win last night with 4 fingers of Johnny Walker Blue after dinner. Be glad to do it again for you real soon....

P.S. In case you didn't know, your child has a very special Mom....

Aw, thanks so much Bettin' Man. Very kind words from you. I've always thought about what I'd do if I won the powerball or some similar monster jackpot, but that's such a remote abstraction -- it's barely worth the brain cells to entertain such fantasies. I sort of felt the same about winning the Grand JP on a LL or DL. But this dream I had was so real and vivid that it stuck with me to the point that while I was processing the 15 "moons" I had collected, I immediately recalled the dream I had. Now, in retrospect, I also seem to remember that the Grand I won in my dream was on Buffalo Grand. And as it happens, that day that I won the Grand on the LL, I happen to notice the grand on Buffalo Grand was at 19k or 20k and made a mental note that it was really high. But I never even played it. I played the Links instead. Weird.

As for the college funds -- oh, absolutely. I know that my entertainment at the casino is my own, and so I try to balance that with giving any gift or freebie to the family. Gift cards, giveaways, tool sets, etc. Those all go to my family. And a JP this big? There was no question in m mind I had to do the same. It would have been irresponsible to use it as my fun money when the responsibility of parenting is much greater than my "me" time sitting in front of a slot machine, I guess. Of course, one could argue that the $$ I have spent on my "me" time could have been saved and invested and used for the family THAT way, too. It's all about moderation and balance.

I really appreciate your kinds words, Bettin' Man. Thank you for being such a warm glow on this board!
