New years trip to Venetian - I've never felt so unlucky

The Venetian is where good luck goes to DIE!! LOLLL. I've never felt so unlucky than at the Venetian. We had a 3 day stay and I must have cycled $10k+ in nickels, quarters, high limit. Nada, baby. Rare bonus rounds and when I did get to a bonus round, we are 20x my bet. I was able to make some of my losses back at the Cosmo and the Mirage.

I'm sorry it did not work out better for you... But glad you were able to bail out a little bit at the other two casinos...
So I guess the big question is was it just bad luck or is the Venetian super tight?...
Wishing you the best of luck on your next casino jaunt!

I have had limited luck at the Venetian in the past few years too. Beautiful property that used to be one of the best in getting the latest machines. Since the Cosmopolitan has upped their game in getting the latest machines, many times I don't even venture to the Venetian much anymore. I primarily play Mlife properties due to multiple ways to get rewards and go to the Cosmo for the preview of the latest machines. I 've had some luck at the Cosmo too. I wish an Mlife property would get aggressive in getting the newest stuff like the Cosmo. That would be the best of all worlds for me.

Super tight!! We came with a group of 7 adults total. All slot players. No one had any luck. Now, of course that's the nature of gambling.

Great restaurants at Venetian. But the walk from the room to the casino was a bit too far. Also, it was difficult to find a host at check-out to get some of our room charges comped. I'm going back with my mainstay i.e. Aria.

Not Venetian exactly, but somehow in Vegas, I've always seem to lose big in the casino I stayed in. I tend to do much better at other casinos.

Apparently the Venetian must not be paying well for others too. I have seen a ton of advertising on TV for them lately. They appear to really be trying to drum up business. An interesting method might be better paybacks and great slot floor selection. I bet business would be brisk if you had the reputation of the loosest slots and nicest slot floor on the strip!

Just got back from Vegas and stopped in at the Venetian for a little while. No luck for me or my wife. We didn't stay long, they just aren't paying and what used to be one of the best slot floors in Vegas has really fallen off. They used to have all the new stuff, not anymore. Kind of disappointed in Cosmo too. Still a good slot floor but they too have slid a little on putting in the newest stuff. We had a good run at the MGM properties, 4 days of gambling and about a total of 100 dollars lost between the two of us. I found the new flintstones game at Excalibur of all places. Had a very good couple of sessions and the machine was active with lots of Yabba dabbas and mini bonuses. The best new game I found this trip.

The V/P is off my "play list." Too many negative changs for their players. Tighter aisle ways, tighter games, loss of Gold room... I was gold for 9 years with them and each year was more of a struggle then the year before. Also way too SMOKEY with all the conventioneers smoking in the casino during their events. They don't have the newer or exciting games they use to have.
