In 2008 I burned through $970 in casino's credit from a voucher I cashed out with the day prior. At $2/spin, I was DONE that voucher in 11 mins. I even had a security guard and 2 slot attendants watching me burn through several rounds of 50+ zero-credit wins. 73 successive spins without a single win of any kind. This actually got me angry enough to call the gaming enforcement branch of our gov't regulated gambling/gaming facilities and conduct an investigation.
Last weekend I was playing a Wonder Woman slot machine at max bet of $2.50 per spin. I burned through $300+ and not a single bonus. The pays on this game are not high to begin with so being down $300 is almost impossible to make back. I almost felt like calling for a slot attendant and saying the game is broken because there's no bonus. It's not like the bonus is super lucrative either. Then I quit that game and played the one next to it. Different game, but same result. I went through A LOT of spins to finally get a bonus that paid only 10x

Bonuses are not what they used to be long ago.

Back in 2009, during my prime, I won a handpay at Seminole Coconut Creek in South Florida for 2400. The next day, I went to Tampa to stay with family for Xmas. I went to the Tampa Hard Rock, and hit Wicked Winnings 2. Max bet 5 dollars. I lost 2100 in 30 minutes without one single bonus. Think my highest win was 18 bucks. I just kept feeding 100s in getting madder and madder that it wasn't doing anything. Next thing you know, I count what is in my wallet, and had 300 dollars left. That was the worst loss in my 24 years of playing slots. Now I live in Tampa, but will not go into the Tampa Hard Rock. Only trips South, and North to Biloxi. I went like 50 trips to Tampa HR without a single winning trip.

A friend of mine who I met several years ago while playing slots , has given me a lot of good information and advice based on his 50+ years of playing slots, and has won many sizable Jackpots and Tournaments..

When asked about winning, he will reply, " More than Never, Less than Always "...

I remember those words every time I play, and it helps me hit the brakes when I want to start chasing my losses.

I don't keep playing a machine that is not paying out.... so... $50.00 tops. However.... I HAVE watched other people literally feed a machine an entire week's wages. I was waiting for my husband, and watched a woman put a hundred dollar bill into a White Orchid machine. She put FOURTEEN one hundred dollar bills into that machine in around 15 minutes, betting $4 a spin. I was literally speechless ( which, if you know me is almost next to impossible ) When my husband came, she was still feeding that same machine... $100 at a time. No wins. I wanted to ask her why she did not move over a machine.... try a different one....

So Sad... Chase Chase Chase... Sigh...
Peeps like her think the machine is due for a hit and they want their money back...
It's too bad they don't realize each spin is independent and previous spins are not a factor...

I hear you. At some casinos, the games you mentioned like Buffalo Grand, Gold, Deluxe and several others are unplayable. Lightning Link, Lock It Link, Dragon Link, and that extremely difficult Fireball can be included, too. I believe casinos order these machines at the lowest possible level, which shouldn't even be manufactured or offered to begin with. $900 or more can be gone in 30 minutes without a decent hit or bonus. It has happened to me at several casinos. In Ohio, I only play machines like this at Scioto Downs. They are brutal at Hollywood and Jack casinos.
    .
Once, at Hollywood Columbus, Playing 10c betting around $10-15 a spin, with some $20-25 bets, I put $4000 into the newest Might Cash, a different screen and setup than I had seen elsewhere, before getting a bonus and winning $1700. It was a festival if dud spins. I have had terrific luck on Mighty Cash machines at Coushatta, in Tulsa, OK, New Orleans, and Scioto Downs. Some casinos are so tight that they make these games a horrible experience.
Moved back to Ohio from AZ. Rude awakening. The Ohio casinos are horrible.

Putting in hundred after hundred is actually no different than putting in twenty after twenty or five after five. If you can afford it, why not?.I sit for long periods of time if I really like the game whether it's paying or not.. I play mostly very low but you would see me occasionally throw in five after five..

I've seen this, too, have never done it, being a sort of low roller. I can't sit at one machine, won't do it. I move around quite a bit, usually bring 3 or 400. and certainly not putting it in one machine.

Similar happened to me. I went in with 100. Won 880 on buffalo right away. Went to Walking Dead, ticket in for about 960, 3.00 bets and went straight to 0.
