I can not even begin to imagine being the Slot Director or in charge of slots at Winstar. That place is massive and I have no idea how they can keep track of it. On my couple of visits last year, I felt like they really don't have much organization to it. It's like they just throw them everywhere and hope people will find what they want to play. I know they did finally put in a slot finder on those giant display kiosks to help.

Sad to hear they've taken some oldies out (especially the WMS Monopoly wall), but casinos are constantly under pressure from manufacturers to put in new games. Sometimes it's a smart idea, sometimes..not so much!

Well asked i asked a suit at my local about the sudden disappearance of Monopoly Jackpot Station and WOZ. Their reply was "it was SG/WMS decision to pull the games". Because they were linked to a WAP. "We tried to purchase the games from them but they said it was not available for purchase".

Another dumb ass move by the company that is taking the fun out of gambling.

Yeah, typically if it's a licensed property like Monopoly...manufacturers will not let casinos purchase the games. SG/WMS wants to keep the brand and "refresh it" with "new, exciting games" to make players think "Oh, look Monopoly" and make them forget all the old ones.

SG had at least 3 new Monopoly branded games at G2E in October 2017 that I didn't feel were just super. One was that giant machine with Hot Shot, one was a Dragon Spin clone w/Monopoly bonuses and the other was "Monopoly Revolution", which is a slot machine on a table that 4 people can play.

Monopoly is a powerful brand for SG/WMS, just like Wheel of Fortune is for IGT. They've had a lot of hits with these Monopoly games, but they have just strayed too far away from the brand.

Yes, however the non-WAP enabled Monopoly games have been purchased (epic, grand hotel, upup). Which makes me scratch my head, what could they not just change the software and disable the WAP so the casinos could purchase it? The day that my local gets rid of upup will be the day i will cry and protest the removal. They have assured me that theres no plan of it going anywhere anytime soon (but we all know how the bean counters think).

True, I know that The D in Vegas still has Monopoly Super Grand Hotel (my favorite!) on the floor now. Clearly purchased and non-WAP.

Four Queens still has Monopoly Jackpot Station (WAP) and Reel Estate Tycoon (WAP) on the floor.

Only one casino in my locals in Shreveport/Bossier have a Jackpot Station (non-WAP) left - Harrah's Louisiana Downs.
