    Big 5 Safari

So... If you've played Big 5 Safari, you know that a full screen = jackpot. Put 100 in, straight down to my last 3 dollar bet, and hit a full screen of Rhino's with the progressive for it at six hundred and change. It added the line hit which was crap, then started spinning again realizing I didn't get the progressive. A technician was a few machines over, and called him over. He says when you hit a full screen, the progressive is mystery and may, or may not hit the progressive award. I just shook my head and let it go. Every other casino in the universe with this machine pays the progressive per your full screen of what animal. Only the Tampa Hard Rock! Not a good way to start 2018. I really need to stop going there.

    Mike,
i played this game at one of our Indian casinos and had the same thing happen. I was very disappointed when I read the progressive was random. I thought I hit a big win too. Will not play it again. I think it should say in big letters that progressive is random.

Ours is the same. If you get the full screen you have a chance to win the progressive - and mostly you dont. The payouts on that game are so bad its not worth playing, IMHO.

Absolutely one of the worst out there, the only way to win is get that random progressive, which I have won a couple of times but NEVER while betting Max coincidentally.

just curious what did the full screen pay? I got a full screen on a play4fun game the other day and it only paid 50x bet which i thought was kind of lean

yeah, it's not your casino, that game doesn't guarantee the progressive on the full screen. I don't play the game a lot but I have hit the progressive about 50% of the time on a full screen. The line hits are almost non-existent on this game so it's either all or nothing.
The pays are low on a full screen if it's just a single animal but you can get lines where it's double animals, sometimes several rows of double animals and it pays a lot better. Add in some 5x wilds and there is some potential. Still not my favorite game though.

Never played this game, but I'm not a fan of the mechanic overall. I will say that the rules state that "a full screen of animals MAY trigger the progressive". If you are playing this at a Class II casino, remember if your bingo card or whatever determines the win doesn't match with the progressive you will not win it.
