    double diamonds

Looking at the pay table one would think there is at least a reasonable chance of some extended play( top prize is nice but it is usually around 800x bet and not nearly as big as many other games with higher multipliers)...furthermore the second top hit is roughly 300x bet. I think it stands to reason that this game in theory is based on more frequent but generally smaller wins.

I have recently had a few mind bogglingly bad sessions on this game in the past few weeks, astonishingly bad considering the paytable....for example an 800 plus spin session with only 2 hits at 20x bet!! I stuck it out bc sometimes I like to see just how awful a game could be.

With a return that should be 90 pct or better to the player (yes yes I know about lifetime etc, millions of spins, etc) but has anyone else had similar luck with a game which does not have a really huge pay table?? I expect big loosing potential on games like 10x or 12x pay, 5x pay etc, triple double rwb,etc but in 800 plus spins not getting one solid hit (75-100x bet).....seems almost suspicious such extraordinarily bad luck

    Thoughts anyone?

given the pay tables on double diamonds though it just doesn't make sense to me unless maybe it hits a top jackpot several times in a row when it does hit...I don't know but other gamblers have told me it has been a money burner for them too....I have found the triple diamond $5 versions to be very tough but have had a handful of good hits on the $1

I agree that the lack of hits on these machines seems unreasonable given the payable. I'd like to see a separate thread on unbelievable dry spells - such as this: today I put $400 into one of the Xtra Reward China Shores clones, where you can get like 600 free games, and didn't get a bonus once, not even 8 spins. My bet levels varied from $.90 to $4.50 max, with most at $1.35 or $2.25.

Before that, I put $80 into a 2-coin $1 3-reel 5x 10x pay Quick hits machine with the $1,000ish progressive, and the only hits I got were a few $2 wins, almost all the other spins were duds. The whole trip sucked today.
Moved back to Ohio from AZ. Rude awakening. The Ohio casinos are horrible.

A lot of the games I will not play anymore at casino I will play for fun on line and I have found some will go up to 3-400 spins without a bonus!!! Furthermore the pay patterns seem eerily similar to those at the casino, although they may actually be worse on line playing for "fun". China Shores is one of them.

I am so glad you agree that given the paytable, the double diamond games really should not be capable of such brutal dry spells. I still am scratching my head over it. I have had some good fortune on these games as well but never anything extraordinary (multiple big hits in close succession etc)
