For some reason my replies to the thread were 'held for approval' and don't even show.

Anyhow, I self excluded for 5 years, that's why I stayed away. Winning $500-$1000 (or more) on a $2 bet was quite achievable before, but not really now. The odds are just atrocious now compared to before.

World of Wonka is poster child for games that can take big bets, but don't pay off. You are hard pressed to win your bet amount during regular spins and the only thing that really has much of a chance for reasonable payoff is oompa loompa. River of chocolate is one of the worst bonus modes I have ever played as far as pennies returned for your dollar. 1 handpay video on youtube kinda tells the story.

I played some low bets last night, 80 cents to $2. I wanted to get a bonus on Sphinx 3d, but that never happened.. After losing $100 on that, I didn't feel like putting any more in because I'm just not doing to get it back.

These games you mentioned RobG, are licensed games. Licensed games years ago might not have been that bad compared to others, but for years, they've been ridiculous. I don't even trust quick hits, pretty much assume all the licensed machines based on movies and tv shows are 85% or lower if allowed by law. Most of us know this that are here, if they play them, they play them realizing they're playing a dangerous game basically throwing the money away.
    That's all folks!

World of Wonka has been very good to me. I play it a lot. I will concede the hand pays are difficult on this game but it seems to give many oompa loompas and I bonus fairly frequently on it. I play the 75 cent level and have had decent luck with many sessions of over an hour on a 20 dollar bill. I think it is a low volatility game but well done and can give you a lot of play. Again I don't bet big so I can't speak on that!

yup, I love hearing all these threats to not play and go but the places are almost always busy....and the games that are the busiest are the 1c ones with a lot of different bet size options

the 1c games keep coming out with larger and larger bet sizes that I am convinced do not bonus near as much as smaller and mid bet sizes...the player who bets $5-$10/spin on 1c games will pay far more for his/her handpays than the player betting 1 or 2 credits on a $5 3 reel in the long run but it is the players choice to entertain him/herself as they wish

agreed, the only quick hits really worth a shot are the 3 reel $1 and $5 versions....the 1c and even $1 video ones are generally just money pits.....great post btw

You know...I've heard SO MANY HORROR STORIES about Tampa Hard Rock....so many negative comments,so many bad reviews, that the mere mention of that place, just hearing those 3 words together,"Tampa","Hard",and "Rock"....makes me feel DISGUST.

Even if someone says they won there,I still recoil just hearing the name.

Agree, especially about the $1.00 QH machines. My favorite is the 2 credit max bet version. I've had some luck on those.

All of the penny QH games are a joke IMO. There's one version I might put a $20 in at my local, but that's only because it's a rare, 100 credit max bet machine. Other than that I avoid them like the plague, like most other leased games.

First spin, I hit 4 maps for 40 bucks and 20 free spins. Oh, I'm gonna be rich.. 20 dead spins and ended up with 40 bucks! Then, I went to a fire and light machine. Again, first spin 4 bonus symbols at a 2 dollar bet. I won the trigger amount only, all dead spins. When you go there, you either get no bonus', or bonus' with no payout. No in between.
Been there, done that. Itís terrible.

Wonka was replaced by Simpsons. Terrible payouts. 4 months later it was replaced with Flinstones. Terrible payouts... 2 months later it was replaced with Wonkavator. Absolutely horrid payouts. NOBODY in their right mind plays these games because you don't win.

I'm seeing more and more really horrid paying games showing up in the casino. One comes to mind is Jinse Dao? Or something like that. The stupid money balls land and do absolutely nothing unless you get the firebird coming out. It has to be one of the worst games I have ever seen or briefly played. It will tease by dropping higher value money balls, but when you actually get a spin where you can collect them, the values are low.

This stupid game, what a waste:
