Is Grand Casino in Shawnee, OK worth a stop?

Never been there, wondering if the payouts are any good. How does it compare to Riverwind Casino in OK city?

Went there about a month ago on a Saturday night. Ended up slightly up. It was crowded, older but nice. There are some really old reels upstairs. Overall liked it. Resulting comps from my 1 visit are about useless. Riverwind is nicer, bigger, more food variety.

It's one of the few I will go to anymore in Oklahoma period, let alone multiple trips and not just because its close, the comps are a joke though I will say as a regular there, but at least I have left with my BR plenty of times and more. Compared to Riverwind it's less crowded (meaning they don't pack the machines so tight you can barely walk through), doesn't charge the ante on table games, has fewer but better food options(the Sushi place is top notch), the Pool turns into a club late night if that's your thing and its a nice rooftop pool area. The one place I give to Riverwind is the selection of slots is better if you like the newer games. One big advantage I find going to Grand is you are within 15 minutes drive of 5 more casinos if your not doing well there you at least have other options.

You have the original Firelake which also has a Bingo hall attached, the Kickapoo tribe has two casinos, Thunderbird casino has a newer one down by the original Firelake, and Blackhawk casino.

Heres one addendum definitely watch the month you are there, this place definitely varies from month to month, last month was great this month not so much, we have noticed that in all the years we have played here month to month varies far more than just day to day play does.

    Bubba,
You said watch what month you play. If you have never been before how would you know which month to go? Have you had better months then others? Thank.
