    Oh....boy, do I hear you.
I had 2 horrendous sessions at my local.....ugh.

What I really shouldn't do is watch the Youtube videos because I think the whole world is winning while I'm losing. Or, maybe I should just live vicariously.

It's getting warm now so I think I'll do some outdoor activity for a while.

I can relate to how you feel about MGM outside of Vegas. I used to frequently go to the Beau and never stood a chance of making Platinum. Once I stumbled into MGM Vegas via a business trip in 2012 I never knew what I was missing. Now maintaining Platinum is easy and the play on penny machines is far better in Vegas than Biloxi

I totally agree. It's just not fun anymore. New fancy machines, lots of lights, and graphics that's about it. They absolutely do not pay off.

@commanderbunbun or anyone else for that matter,

You had posted that you play mostly older IGT and Aristocrat slots. My question is would you name a few that you believe play decently?

Background --- we have only been playing slots for 5 years now and are retired. Live in Ohio. We do not play slots for the big win, but like to get play for our money. Don't expect to win in long run. We do like Gold Fish (original), Wolf Run, Coyote Moon, the 3X5 High5 IGT games and have started on 3 reel slots like Triple Strike, Double Gold, Three Stars. Have never gotten the play from older Aristocrats like Road Trip, Good Bad and Money, 5 Dragons, Mr. Cashman.

Our style of play is to leave after we lose 15 times our bet from the high (or original bet) and play mostly minimum bet. Maybe we should stay a bit longer??

Because we do travel around we play mostly CET properties because of the many locations and free rooms available to us. They also have a very transparent reward system with many free bonuses that we take advantage of. This might make up for the perceived tighter slots people talk about with CET versus MGM. I know you are a fan of local off strip casinos where you live.

Anyway any names of slots you could give us would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Darrell

Man, that really hurts....all these newer machines with multiple touch screens and movements cost the manufacturers more money to produce, so obviously the hold % is juiced so that the casinos can pay for the higher lease fees.....that's a shame that your grand only lasted an hour.....

It is very noticeable. One problem I have with many casinos, and Hollywood casinos in particular, is the lack of choice. At Hollywood casinos, almost the entire slot floor contains 1c denomination games that pay back 85%. It's difficult to find anything else.
Moved back to Ohio from AZ. Rude awakening. The Ohio casinos are horrible.

More of the same Sunday night. Dollar machines hit, 50c machines do ok. Penny machines suck everything without fail. Pathetic to hit a bonus round on a wonder 4 and barely win 2x the bet. Happened 3 or 4 times.

Nothing very Hollywood about that! I play some old school 25c stuff as well which according to the casinos I play at average 90-91 pct and trust me the difference between them and the 1c 85-87 pct stuff is apparent. I will say it again at the risk of sounding like a broken record...the casinos generally take a great liberty with these 1c games. Most folks who play penny games likely just want to be able to play for awhile and not loose their bank roll in under an hour or less.
