It's been Plainridge for my Quick Hit debacles. I had an ok run in January there, but its been back to normal for me the past two months. The thing I'm curious to know about MA is whether they allow Plainridge to count their free play and all their contest awards toward their payback percentage.

Every month I see their payback percentage stats floating in the 90% range, and there's just no way that's even remotely possible based on the play I get there in comparison to Twin River or Foxwoods. They give away thousands upon thousands of dollars in slot play from drawings every day(I'm talking big amounts too, like at least 10 people will get $1000+). Considering this is a very small casino in comparison, if I had to guess, to make ends meet, we're playing 81%-84% machines, and the rest is made up from drawing amounts they give away. So essentially if you don't randomly win a big drawing amount, you're gonna go home a loser 99% of the time.

They have coin in listed, but then next to it they have something called slot GGR. I assumed that would be free play/contest awards, but it appears to stand for gross gaming revenue. That said, plainridge is reporting that February 2017 was the first month since March of 2016 that their overall hold percentage was less than 92%! There is NO WAY this can be anywhere close to accurate unless they're pumping their numbers up with free play and the contest awarded slot play. No way. They just don't have enough high limit machines to drag their penny percentages(95% of their total slot inventory) up to that high of an overall percentage.

I would love to see what that 92% would look like without free play and other awarded slot play. I bet it's closer to 82%

I doubt free play would have that big of an influence. In order for payout to fall to 82% the coin in would have to fall from $146 million to less than $70 million. I doubt more than half of their coin in comes from promotional play.

The current payback includes high limit, video poker, and electronic table games, all of which inflate the payout compared to pennies somewhat. I couldn't find anything in the regulations that discussed how free play is handled in coin in. It's not in the GGR, that I saw (and that makes sense).

Interesting. I always assumed video poker was included but I'm very surprised that they can include electronic table games in those statistics.

In the spirit of this thread, I was at Plainridge last night, was having a great night, and decided what the heck, let's concur(just get a freaking bonus) this Quick Hits Wild Red machine. I noticed a bank of them where the progressives were double the size of the other penny Wild Red machines. I went over to investigate and it was because this bank had a max bet of $3. Sure, why not.

Well, I can tell you why not now. Lost $500 and didn't get the bonus once, I literally could not believe it. Didn't get close to my 114 tease record(getting the first two bonus symbols but not the 3rd), but my final spin was my 44th tease and I left Plainridge a very angry gambler with only a small win for the night. Meanwhile, only one person sat next to me the entire time. Older woman, came over with a $5 tito and started betting 30 cents per spin. She got the bonus on her 4th spin. This game drives me NUTS.

When I saw this thread title, before opening it I said to myself "Quick Hits"... that many teases is brutal. It definitely seems to be worst with Quick Hit moreso than any other game.

further more the amount of wins that are a fraction of your original bet is insulting and then all that noise and hullabalo to celebrate loosing half your bet lol!!

I count my spins too. It seems no matter what casino I have been to recently and no matter what game I play doesnt want to pay over minimum or 2x. Especially at Twin. Maybe try changing your bet every spin. I always do that to try to trick the machine. Best of luck to you and that was an awesome jackpot you hit on robinhood

I've lamented before how much I hate Ellen machines for this reason, but the ones that have been really boiling my blood lately are Quick Hit machines.

Not sure why but I've felt compelled to play(HAHA play...) the Wild Blue and Wild Red Quick Hit machines recently. Might have something to do with the reasonable $1.50 max bet on the penny versions. The amount of times these machines tease a bonus is borderline criminal. It's so bad that I started playing a game with myself to see how many times it would tease a bonus(first two bonus symbols) before actually giving a bonus at Max Bet. I wouldn't say it's a fun game, because as the number starts to escalate quickly and you're realizing how badly you're getting screwed in real time, you tend to get angry fast, but its eye opening to say the least.

I set a new record last night. I had previously got into the 40's a handful of times on the Wild Blue/Red machines and the playboy machines. Last night was special though. Was playing wild red, and after $300 lost in about 20 minutes, I threw in the towel after 114 bonus teases. ONE HUNDRED AND FLIPPING FOURTEEN. In 20 minutes... At only $1.50 a spin... and had to give up with no bonus. I think based on my points the money was gone in about $450 worth of spins. How is that even possible?!? I feel like that's more mathematically improbable than getting 9 Quick Hits. Meanwhile 30 cent betters would cycle in and out next to me and get the bonus within 10 spins regularly. I'm so sick of feeling like I'm getting hosed.

I have found Red Hot Triple 7's to be one of the worse I have played. even in bonus rounds them pop up. It is ok it it hits 3 of them for a retrigger BUT... most times just takes away from winning money.
