Silly question… what do I get at Diamond?

if we were at the OLD CET score levels, we’d be Diamond by now… we’re SO close, but seemingly so far away since it is already mid December…

We’re doing a spur of the moment “go for it” trip on Friday…. Thinking that one or two more trips (possibly some really good wins, fingers crossed) will put us over the edge…

But I’m wonder (aloud) what do Diamond Players get that Platinum players don’t?

I'm still kind of "fuzzy" on the whole Tier score vs base credits, vs comp balance, etc...
offers (free play) are based on your average daily play
are room offers based on that as well?
    what about show tickets?

When I first made Diamond two years ago, they told me that my offers would increase.
My offers actually didn't- my freeplay even seemed to drop a bit at my local Harrah's, free rooms in Vegas seemed to be about the same. The only thing added were occasional extra offers like a free gift for being Diamond (would say that it was a Diamond offer, and my mother who was Platinium didn't get one)- something like a free toaster if I arrive on Monday from 1-6., or an extra 1000 reward credits if I play on Wednesdays.

There are some added benefits though. The Diamond Lounges vary in quality by property, but can be a nice benefit for a quick free meal or drink. I can get free alcoholic drinks on the casino floor (they aren't free normally in AZ) I get an extra $3 off the buffet at my local, and when any casino is busy, the Diamond lines for restaurants and especially hotel check in are really nice. I also was assigned a host though I never heard from him. However, if I ever need anything, hosts seem always happy to help me with requests.

so, Paw Paw, what CET is saying, is that we should REALLY aim for that Seven Stars level, right?

Also a lot of the CET properties have Diamond/7 Star VIP hotel check in. Really nice in Vegas to avoid the lines. The Diamond Lounge access is a good perk.

Other benefits depend on CET property - For instance at Harrah's/Harvey's Lake Tahoe - you get 2 passes in the summer to the Tahoe Star Lake Cruise (must book in advance) At some smaller hotel/casinos --you get comp limo ride to and from the airport while you leave your car parked at hotel. I sure there are other benefits that are specific to certain casinos.

The best thing to do is see if you can get a host and they can arrange everything for you.

Harrahs AC and Showboat have VIP check in. Not sure about Ballys and Caesars but they probably do too. I just never go there.

For a host, I use Vince Gaimari (8774246274). His company handles all CET properties.

Anytime I need something I can't do online, I will call them.

The Harrah's in AZ (Ak-Chin, which is a NA casino) gives you four drink coupons per person for free drinks when you enter the Diamond Lounge. However, Harrah's Rincon in California doesn't. I think it depends on state laws- if it is legal they will give you free drinks. Also at Ak-Chin a host can give you free drink coupons for the casino floor too.

The Diamond Lounge in AC has free drinks. However, there is a charge of 10 dollars in comps per person if your diamond was earned with under 25,000 tier points. Above that it is free.

In addition in AC there is a Diamond gift book in April that includes lots of free food coupons to each of the 4 casinos plus a few for Chester. Last year I believe it was 3 $25 coupons good at the better restaurants at each Casino or 300 total. Plus other spending coupons for the shops. Had to be used before June 30. We had a great time using our two sets this past year. Will only have 1 next time asuming they continue. And next year I pay to get into the DL.. BTW you can only do so with comps no money allowed.

You're correct on what you think you're fuzzy about! All offers, including comp rooms, show tickets, free play and comp food vouchers are based on ADT, not the tier level you've reached. Of course, the exception to this is that 7 Stars members automatically get get certain perks and comps just for reaching that level.
