No problem at all you did not hijack the thread. I hope your grand kids take you someday. My grandma is the first person to ever show me slots and she has been gambling since the slot machine was invented! Haha. She used to go to Vegas all the time with my grandpa before he passed. Any my aunt her daughter also passed away so shes kind of depressed. When shes in that casino though chain smoking and playing away shes happy even if she breaks even. If not its funny shes always like lets go somewhere else next time haha and dont tell your father we were here!

When you hit 90 and are financially OK, you get to plan your own fun !!! My folks love going to the casino's (there is one about 5 miles from their place), and they have so many points tallied up, they use them to eat there 5 days a week. When my mom asked how many points they had left their host said they could eat there every day for the next couple of years and still have some left over. The casino has a huge garage sale every year to get rid of their "monthly prizes" overstock and you register with your club number and use your points to purchase the items. We've gotten crockpots, canvas bags, Coach wallets, gourmet coffee, cookware, and other goodies for Christmas from my folks. Keep being your grandma's slotbuddy; time is short and cherish every second with her - I guarantee you, she cherishes her time with you.

Sorry if this belongs in the "Thread Hijack" section; when I get started, it's hard to stop !!!

Rich 99 is gunna laugh at me but it was at Twin River casino. I end up going there a lot because its a 30 minute drive from where I'm at on the weekends. I definitely need to hit up Mohegan or Foxwoods next time. I have no idea when they have the payouts set on. One crazy lady who was playing 2 machines at once said that she knows the payout is always on at 5 olock or something crazy like that once and I tried her method and it didnt work for either of us haha. Although I have had some pretty good wins there in the past it seems like the machines were dead as hell. I started with my favorites wms which are obviously volatile but not that bad! I did my new years resolution of branching out and trying different games did no good. Server based gaming sounds like some bullshit.

I have noticed this type of volatility, full days of times where the machines are beyond tight and the few bonuses given are of the zero variety, while the next day the payback increases noticeably. All of these casinos are just too tight to begin with now and I think they manipulate the paybacks on top of it. I also noticed that VLT / racinos are where this occurs most noticeably.

I hear you on the back luck. Lost my ass the other day, tried different machines, sometimes sticking with one machine dumping $20 after $20 in to get a bonus for $1.85. The whole time I was there I couldnt even get close to a 100x my bet! I think during one bonus I got a 15x my bet. And yes, different machines, arisocrat, konomi & WMS. When I started slotting about ten years ago I started with WMS, but now it's close to one of my last pics when I am at the casino. I played queen of the wild from WMS and got two bonuses min betting .50 cents off of a $100 bucks. Biggest win on bonus $6.70
Think about a break or another hobby for a little as I am doing!

I hate it when this happens! It's maddening! I was at the Venetian once playing Fallen Angels. WMS G+ Deluxe game. Anyway, I was max betting and got a bonus. I ended up with 96 spins and my end result was $49. I was LIVID! Ugh...... makes me mad just thinking about it!

I got a bonus on The Godfather. I got a 30X multiplier for one spin. Of course the spin was "0". That was my worst bonus ever.

I witnessed someone playing the $1 Cleopatra 9 line slot machine in a bonus. I couldn't believe that her bonus after 15 spins was $0! She even pointed it out in disbelief to me. I lost many dollars with no bonus. i would rather have no bonus than one with 0$.

The funny thing is when it registers with you that this is going to happen. Like midway through the bonus you realize you're getting screwed…

Was Playing a 2c Zeus Thursday night at the Soaring Eagle, hit the 10 spin bonus and totaled 75 credits. Thankfully the others were better but this one was laughable. Also playing max coin at 150 credits.
