    Resignation of Scott Clarebrough

    Poster's Note: I don't know how much Scott Clarebrough is responsible for the Ainsworth games the past many years, but I hope that they find a way to make some big improvements in their game design in the future. In my book, Ainsworth is at the bottom of my list for the major slot manufacturers. Their games lack good game play, good audio, good graphics, and have very poorly written rules pages.

    Ainsworth Game Technology announced the resignation of Scott Clarebrough, group general manager of strategy and development.

    “During his time at Ainsworth, Scott has provided impressive leadership, guidance and training to a now well established team of game designers and product development engineers,” said CEO Danny Gladstone.
    “On behalf of the Board we thank Scott for his contribution to Ainsworth and we wish him and his family well.”

    Ainsworth plans to broaden the management across the product development division with a number of key game designers having recently been recruited, the company said.

    “The development and planning to further strengthen Ainsworth’s proposed US based creative team will assist the Company to build a sustainable, profitable and growing business in the large American markets,” said the company.

    Great Post:

    I believe that Len Ainsworth founded Aristocrat. It's no surprise that Ainsworth started out with high volatility. You make good point about the way they lag in technology, sound and graphics. All true. Yet, they have taken a respectable foothold in many North American casinos. I suspect those "gamblers" like the volatility. More recently, Ainsworth has been shifting to the low volatility stacked games, like RUMBLE RUMBLE. If fact, I can not think of a hit game since that one.

    Game Designers can help -- but we've all seen great games hampered by slow processors, jerky animations, lousy sound or graphics. The best manufacturers have it all ... and the landscape has never been more competitive.
