    Biloxi 6/17-20, Best Trip Ever!!!

    Biloxi 6/17-20, Best Trip Ever!!!

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Biloxi. We left Greensboro Sunday night at 8:30, arrived around 9 central time. This was my first visit to Biloxi, and it definitely won't be my last! Emily and her Mom were also on the trip, and after checking in at Beau Rivage, we took a taxi to Margaritaville. We wanted to go to Landshark Landing for some fried chicken. The web site says it is open till midnight on Sunday but closed Monday to Wednesday. When we got there, they were closed, but we were told that they are now open 7 days a week. A host named Katie, I think, gave us a comped meal at Margaritaville cafe. After eating, we played there for a while. I lost $90 at craps, but had a couple of small slot wins. First I hit a bonus on Mystical Unicorn.

Then I hit this on a quarter 5X pay.

I didn't know it yet, but this was just a mall sample of what's to come. The reels were very good to me this time! We left Marg shortly after midnight and taxied back to Beau. The casino hopper stops running around 9:30 Sunday to Thursday. Back at Beau, I played for just a while and got a nice win on Top Dollar.

I played Pompeii and Slingo Bonus Deluxe but lost on those. I was tired and decided to call it a night.

You gotta hit it, quit it, and get out wit' it.

Monday morning we got up and took the hopper to Palace. I played a few slots there, got some play time but no big wins. Then I hit the craps table. Palace has $3 craps on weekdays, but the table was not crowded Monday morning. It was just me and one other guy. Usually I don't do well when the table is not crowded, but this time was different. I had a very good roll, then the other guy followed suit. After buying in for 100, I cashed out $275.

We went back to Margaritaville. Since it wasn't quite lunch time, we decided to play for a while. I tried many different machines but could not hit anything. The only success I had was on a penny Wild Cherry where I cashed out slightly ahead. The craps table was no better. I lost $100. I really like the casino and the people there are very friendly and generous with comps, but I was not winning here. I did see other people winning, so I just didn't get on the right machine this time. We went back to Landsark Landing, but they still had no fried chicken. We were told that they would be open at 10 AM. Then we were told to come back at 4. So we decided to take the hopper to the Grand and then come back at 4.

At the Grand, I played a few slots with no success. Then I went to the craps table and played for about 45 minutes. The dice were nice, and I cashed out +55. I wasn't going to play any more slots, but the cashier told me to swipe my TR card and get 3X credits. After I swiped my card, I went to a bank of quarter reels. I was going to pllay Double Diamond, but it wouldn't take my card. Emily, who was playing another machine, told me that 10X pay was hot a few minutes ago, so I put $20 in there. After about 15 or 20 spins, here is what happened.

I knew it was a big win but didn't know how big until Emily said "Doug you just won $1,500!!" I just sat there in shock! Quickly the slot attendant came over and paid me. That is my biggest slot win ever! It's really ironic how it happened. We wouldn't have gone to Grand until later if LL had been open for lunch. And I wasn't gonna play more slots until the cashier told me about the 3X points. Finally, I didn't plan to play 10X pay but Emily said it was winning. Thanks Em!!! I still had 62 credits in there so I played more and got another good hit.

I cashed out and we went back to Margaritaville. Landshark Landing was open, but the first guy said they had no fried chicken. We protested, and the manager (I forgot his name), agreed to cook us some fried chicken if we would wait 15 to 20 minutes and we agreed. We saw the pics on facebook and really wanted to try it. We also found out that we had enough comps to get it for free!! It was good but a little spicy. We are not complaining, especially since it was free!! Emily took some pics and will have it in her report. After we stuffed ourselves, we went back to Beau for the evening.

Back at Beau, I took a short nap in the room and watched a little Braves baseball, then I went downstairs to play. At first, i lost some on the slots. Then I went to the craps table and bought in for $200 on a $10 table. The dice were cold and I lost it all. i decided to buyin for another 100, hoping things would turn around. After a while, they did. I ended up cashing out -85, but made a nice comeback after a bad start. Then i went back to the slots, and they were nice too. I had another good hit on Top Dollar, different machine, same combination as before.

Then i played a dollar Red, White and Blue Double Stars machine and it gave me a couple of nice hits.

I played a while longer and had a good run on Slingo Bonus, cashing out slightly ahead. Overall I ended up +50 for the evening. I went back to the room and called it a night.

Tuesday morning we went back to Grand and ate breakfast at the buffet. It was very good. We played for a while but I could not duplicate yesterday's success. That's okay, i'm not complaining. Then we went to Hard Rock. I like the casino but i could not win anything here. We played a little while then went back to Beau and rested for a bit. Later in the afternoon, we took the hopper to IP. This is a very nice casino with lots of action. The slots here were not kind to me, so I tried the dice table. The dealers at IP were very good, and I played for over an hour and cashed out +57.

I went back to Beau and played more slots there. Had a few small wins but nothing major. I tried the craps table again. This time the table started hot and i was up around 100 at first. Then it got cold and I tried to bet conservative and hang in there, but my chips were slowly disappearing. Then Teddy, who runs Junket Tours, sat at the table and said it was about to turn around, and he was right. After a couple od good rolls, I recovered all of my buyin +20. I had been at the table for about 2 hours, so I cashed out while i was ahead. Then i played a few more slots and got a decent win on RWB Double Stars.

I went to Terrace Cafe for a late dinner which was very good, and then went to bed.

Wednesday morning we ate breakfast at the buffet at Beau. It was good but not as good as the Grand buffet. I was ready for one last session before we left for the airport at 1. First I played a dollar Triple Stars and got this nice win.

Then I moved to a dollar 2X3X4X5X. As you can probably tell, i like 3 reelers with multipliers, and here's another reason why.

After playing a few more slots with no big wins, I played my only blackjack session of the trip. I had a great dealer and a nice table. After playing for about an hour, I cashed out +30. Then I walked to the craps table. There was a full crapless craps table, but i don't play that. Next to it the regular craps table was empty. I don't like empty tables, but I wanted one last craps session, so I bought in for 200. I had 2 great rolls and kept the dice for about 30 minutes the first time and 15 minutes the second time. Here is what I cashed out.

I still had a little time so I tried the $5 pinball slot and lost $100, but that was my only loss of the day. I went to a quarter Triple Stars and got this.

A great way to close out a great trip! I ended up +400 for the day and over a thousand ahead for the trip!

In summary, I love Biloxi! I know that's easy to say when you win, but I would say that even if I had lost. Beau Rivage is my favorite casino. They have a fantastic selection of reel and penny slots. i did much better on reels this time. The hotel is beautiful. I had a room on the 15th floor. I also like all of the other casinos we visited. I will definitely be back. Thanks again to Emily and her Mom for showing me all the great things to see and do in Biloxi. As I said earlier, this was my first trip, but it won't be my last. Thanks for reading!!
