I like NY NY it has a good vibe central and rooms have been updated in the last few years. I found that i wandered over to Excaliber for my table play, cheaper table minimums and $ lasted a little longer.

The pool sucks but the food options are good and they have a good slot selection.

I think it pays to not go as often I haven't been to Vegas in a year and a half they must really want me to come back because my spring offer was $1500 free play 500 resort credit and three night stay in a suite

Madison rooms are their basic comp rooms, but they're just fine and they're a step above the Park Avenue rooms. Try to get a corner room, it has a fair amount more square footage.

I don't mind NYNY at all. I have better luck there than other hotels too. And don't feel out of place with it being not as fancy. haha. I get s little sloppy there.

Wynne Encore and Venetian seem to be having a bidding war, lol. They are both offering nice weekend packages w/free play . Things may be getting a little "tight" out there in Vegas w/ all the problems in the economy. I went to Winstar about a month ago w/my son(26 now) and we each dropped over 2 grand in a 3 nighter. Oh...I won quite a bit, but that was the final outcome. Those 3 nighters can kill your bankroll.....and the casinos know it. If you don't hit a big one on the last night you're probably going home a loser. I could have spent $300 on a round-tripper from Southwest and stayed at the Venetian with $600 free play and probably at least had a better time if not better results. I told my son we are not going to Winstar again for an extended stay....we'll just go to Vegas. We go at least twice yearly, so our comps are good for Mirage, Bellagio, Palazzo/Venetian, Wynne/Encore, and now I've started getting invites to Aria. Never been to Cosmopolitan yet, though. That's the thing about Vegas .....you can spread it around and have a good time trying different casinos. And they'll comp you if your play is enough on their card. I'm usually a winter/early spring/ late summer visitor (from Texas). Middle spring and summer I'm too busy w/ business.

Early spring in Texas is usually late Feb/early March....but not this year, haha. The winter that won't quit. Maybe it's time to go back to Vegas. I'm tired of these cold fronts blowing down every week. I get cabin fever real quick....would never make it up north.
