    something you might not know

I noticed something on some older Konami slots. This applies to games like: China Shores, Money Blast, Lago di Amor. Or basically any game with stacked bonus symbols. If you have the option to choose how many lines, you can choose less lines and all lines are active during the bonus! This is just like IGT's Stinkin Rich.

If you are unsure, I did notice under the paytable that is true for the most part. The main exception is if you are forced to play all lines depending if it's connected an add-on bonus game or the casino configured it that way on standalone machine(s).

I thought this is nice to know, so technically you could get a jackpot on say 50 cents (10 lines at 5 credits per line or 5 lines at 10 credits per line).

It's hard to find a machine allowing these types of betting schemes for Konami. It doesn't seem as appealing as Stinking Rich IGT types to me because Konami spins are more complex although it might not matter. I've lost faith believing as a rule machines offer the same probabilities no matter the line bet
    That's all folks!

I noticed this when i played these at harrah's in vegas. Mirage had some too. They are becoming less common and they dont have that configuration at any of the NA Casinos in So Cal That i have seen.
I coudn't decide if it was worth it or not.

I just remembered that i have seen some nickle ones locally that let you play less lines.

That is good to know, BUT, how many of those bonus symbols would not count and thus decreasing the amount of free spins you would have got?

I know you would get much less spins, but they would hopefully pay more on winning spins during the bonus.
I should add, on Xtra Rewards games that increase how many paylines it won't enable the Xtra Reward in that case (as far as I know) but you will stay get all paylines on comparable games when you have the option to choose how many lines.

That's been one of my favorite ways to play Konami at one of our locals that has these machines. I sometimes play 20 lines x5 or x10. If you get a wall of bonus symbols, you get fewer spins but at a higher multiplier than if you played roughly the equivalent bet size on 30 lines - for example, hit three full reels of bonus symbols on 30-line China Shores betting 30 lines x 3 for 90c, you get 240 free spins with a x3 multiplier. The same scenario betting 20 lines x 5 for $1, you get 160 free spins with a x5 multiplier and all lines are played in the bonus... So any retriggers give the full amount. I'll take a higher multiplier over more spins a lot of the time.

If you just get a few bonus symbols and they land right, you may not even miss out on any spins.

Here's an example playing 20 lines x 5. Not bad on a dollar bet!

The other pic was from an 8-spin bonus playing 20 lines x 10. I call it the "discount max bet" because once you're in the bonus it's as if you were betting $3.
