    Bellagio host, bad experience

Hello all, I just got back from Vegas this weekend and had a 2 nite stay at bellagio. I lost 5k on this trip, my standard room was comped , I got to see the lakers game thru the tix bellagio offered me, food comped.
The bad experience comes with the service. I went to mlife players desk to ask who my host was , when they realized I didn't have one. I was introduced to a host name Michael Black. I'm not used to working with a host so I was asking him what advantages were with having a host , he was basically telling me the only thing I can get benefit from is food and beverage credit of 100 dollar. He told me I can't get anything else, no suite or room upgrade , no limo transport to events bellagio offer me. I told him aria offers me more food and bev credit with me playing a lot less, then he tells me I should play there instead. He was telling me off telling me then take ur business elsewhere then. So then I tell him I don't want him as my host . He then whips out his business card and says i don't know who I'm dealing with that he's the Senior Host so clearly labelled on his business card .
I ask him for assistance finding a host then he comes back with, "you want me to recommend a host to you when you tell me you don't like me? I wouldn't ask someone who I don't like to give me their opinions/ recommendations . " I Said well I need assistance so he points me over to the high limit room for assistance.
I don't know if I'm being the idiot or he's the jerk . But basically I felt really bad at the end of the whole situation . I don't know how to talk to host . But I do think he wasn't very respectful to me as a patron . I wonder if anyone has ever worked with him? Or if others had problems as well. It left me feeling very bad about bellagio. I mean with the gambling loss and then being disrespected by a host. The whole time we were talking he was just like yeah , u don't play enough , we can't do much for u. Note I'm a platinum player . Also I want to point out during our conversation I was complaining about their free shuttle service to MGM which never arrived when I waited for what seemed like 45 mins. The couple who waited after we left the shuttle pickup later saw us again at laker game said the shuttle service was bad. They don't have a schedule . But the host Michael Black was telling me no one has a problem with it. That was why I inquiried about limo service.
Sorry my post is very scattered in thoughts. Still trying to recover from my shock .

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. To me it sounds like the host was being rude, regardless if you were able to receive more from them or not isn't the point, he could have told you in a polite manner and been more helpful. You should never tell someone to play somewhere else, or begin throwing your creditials at them as all it does is make you into an asshat. As a host you should be friendly and make your guests feel excited to be there, whether you can offer them only a food credit or not. Its ashame that these personalities are hosts, as without guests they are not needed. Best of luck next time and hope this doesn't happen to you or others in the future with this guy.

No experience with him... the 5k loss doesn't mean much by itself. What is your coin in? Usually if you are playing at levels that the casino deems adequate a host will contact you and you shouldn't need to go looking. Sorry about the bad experience, the host seems like a jerk and you were definitely treated poorly. I'd make an official complaint ans look at a new property for my action.

Thank you so much for your reassuring comments. Really appreciate it. I'm thinking I probably do better without a host . I don't like feeling pressured to play a certain amount expected

I would definitely complain.... its the players like you that the properties want. They need loyal players that come back time and time again. When I said to maybe look at another property to give your action to, I didn't mean to leave mlife. Maybe just try another property in the mlife family. Each has different requirements for what they are able to give the player. Don't let this guy ruin you on a host. There are plenty of amazing hosts out there that will make your trips special.

Disregard my pm i see you named the host. I had talked to michael before he seemed decent. He went to bat for me when a host wasnt coming through with a booking and booked it under his name. but then finally a host did set things up and i thanked him for his time and had to no issues.

surprised he was like that since he has been a host for a long time.

You really need Patricia on this one. Bellagio is her favorite place and she always stays there. Maybe she'll see this later and can offer you some advise.
