I have been asked to stop recording at the Tropicana and the Taj in AC, and Mohegan Sun in CT. Just haven't been caught anywhere else but I would assume it's a NO policy.
Funny, the last day the Showboat was open in August, we were there and I made a short video " A walk down memory lane." just as I finished security approached us to say we were no allowed to record..LOL...

My hope ultimately is to try to get them to consider their policy by showing them a wide range of casinos with better policies towards the whole thing. The last thing people in service industries want to do is alienate potential customers by spreading bad word of mouth. I've no intention to mention any of it in a threatening manner, but I think most casinos aren't yet aware of just how big a group is involved here. At last count, the slot viewer community is responsible for somewhere between 8 and 10 million views a month. That's nothing to scoff at, no matter how big an operation you run.

Thanks everyone for the input so far. This isn't something I'm doing in the next few days or anything, rather I just want to start preparing what I will need. I'll make sure to share any results that I get back. With slot manufacturers starting to consider the idea of utilizing channels as a potential promotion platform, it's time for the casinos to play ball too.

Sounds good Vod, I hope you are successful in convincing some of the casinos to enter the 21st century with their recording policy.

Is it possible to edit your first post with the list to compile them all and have easy access to? I am thinking the list of casinos that don't allow it might be smaller than the ones that do, but I could be wrong.

Morongo in Socal has asked me to delete not only videos but photos from my camera as well - TWICE.

No problems at Soboba, Harrahs or Pauma.

I've only been asked to delete photos once and I handed him my Canon Powershot camera and said you do it i can't remember how. He couldn't figure it out, so the videos weren't deleted. LOL

I hope that's the case but I doubt it. My current list of casinos has 1023 names on it. :P This is going to be a long project.

Hmm... is it in spreadsheet form? Perhaps a link or google doc might be cool. Certainly sounds like quite a project... especially with the new ones cropping up everyday!
