    Pirate's loot-who do you have to *****?

I've played so much and have never hit the keys once. Seems like $2000 coin-in per key attempt by my results so far hoping to get one. Doesn't seem like it should be so hard to win barely $100 or barely $25 depending on how much the progressive has grown and it never seems to be bigger than 50-80% higher than the reset. $150, $50 seems like the top. Anyone with experience, What is your best guess for your average coin-in per key pick? What was the longest you've had to play to get 6-9 keys and are these points worth playing until you get the key?
    That's all folks!

My opinion is "No"....don't play the games with Pirate's Jackpot to chase a key that would open the pirate's treasure for the Maxi or Mini. Just getting an opportunity to pick for a key is as random as a regular spin. I've played some games for hours without ever getting a chance for a key. And then after you get a chance to pick for a key, whether you get a key or not is just as random as a spin. Most times you'll get just the $5.00. Once you get a key, then you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting the maxi. The saddest thing I ever witnessed was a lady chasing a key (there were only 3 spots left on the board, so the next time it came up she would be guaranteed a key). She must have played the machine for at least 4 hours, maybe longer cause I don't know how long she was on it before I started watching. I left and walked around and every time she was still there. I was there when it finally came up. The maxi was about $172.00. She ended up with the Mini.....about $52.00.

I treat Pirate's Jackpot as just an added feature to a slot game I already like and would play whether it was there or not.

Played it a few times. Chased keys once or twice. Was never worth it as I never got the key and kinally just got bored. The one or two times I have gotten the key, always got the mini, so I don't think it was worth it. I'm not a big Konami fan anyways, so unless there are 9 spots or fewer remaining, I'm not even tempted to sit down.

Play for the based game, not just for the progressive because you will not get it. People who just play and not try to get something has a better chance of getting something good than those who play to try and hit jackpots and get frustrated.

Not the answer I'm looking for. However this game might very well have a higher cost to trigger the key bonus than you'll win back, so you would be right by accident if it's a negative expectation game no matter the spots left.

If you're going to chase Konami progressives, I'd say go for the Pirate's Loot ones (not the Pirate's Jackpot you're describing) where the top prize is over $1K and the next level down can still be several hundred. I just can't see making a concerted attempt to hit a random bonus where you have a 1 in 33 chance of winning $100.

I was confused about the name after seeing another game seeing it on Youtube. The multi level progressive shown by the name on Youtube I've never seen on in the casino. I'll often see the game with 6 or 9 keys left but it's probably just fool's gold. Taking the reset value and odds of winning maxi divided by four, this value probably is less than the expected average loss before getting map/keys pick. I'll check the name tomorrow when i go.

It is not smart to chase any of those random progressives could be the next spin could be in 5000 spins from now. Probably go through more then what the dang progressive even worth trying to hit it.

Normally I'd agree but after hitting the maxi on Pirate's Loot twice, I've come to believe in miracles, LOL.

Hitting the maxi twice is a lot of luck. I have not yet hit a maxi on any progressive machine. The most I have gotten are majors and on beat the field, mega. It is all about being at the right place at the right time.
